I hope they didn't change the templates microscopically simply to get people to buy them yet again. From morathi's post, it sounds like the multiple blast one is some go-go-gadget extendo thing but I haven't seen him comment much about the other two.

So there are books being released, but there are no Apoc rules in these books right? Like this isn't like Spearhead where I can only get it in a hard to find WD issue?

My only concern if they completely do away with D-Strength weapons is that it will invalidate a lot of units unless a FAQ comes out to bring them all back in line with 'Strength' values. That is my biggest concern with this re-release of Apoc, is having models that can suddenly not be used due to dramatic rule changes.

I'm not sure why people are getting too worked up over the templates - surely they are one of the easiest things to make yourself if you don't want to pay GW prices? It's not as if not buying them means you cant play.

If you like big cases (and I do personally), it appears that the gamer's edition comes with the equivalent of two of the bigger double sized army cases (so 4 of the "normal" hardshell cases). That gives the battlefoam 1520 a run for its money on both price and carrying capacity. The later gets custom foam but the former looks a hell of alot cooler for 40k figs (especially imperial armies).

The case looks nice, but the only double sized, army case from GW that I ever got broke at the hinges almost right away. I'm a long way from confident enough in their big cases to trust an expensive army to them, so I'm probably skipping that one.
