So I played a game yesternight.

2v2 eldar eldar vs necrons[me] and chaos

One of the eldar players was fielding a giant squad of warlocks and farseer on jetbikes, and they were effectively getting a 2+ cover save every turn. I got to charge them once with scarabs but all they did was remove the farseer's armour and thats all.. Are there any ways to counter this type of list yet? Cheers~

Simply hit them with all you have. Fortune isn't reliable anymore an if you have cover ignoring weapons then you have effectively destroyed the deathstar.

Basically that unit you faced was a super expensive, short ranged deathstar than is 100% reliant on psychic powers and cover saves to live.

Nothing in a warlock jetbike unit can shoot farther than 12" (unless the farseer brings the 1 per army super sniper rifle), and the warlocks themselves are leadership 8 psykers.

If you have any cover ignoring weapons or means of reducing their leadership, that unit will fold like a wet paper bag. Take away the cover and psychic powers and the unit is just a bunch of fast moving marines (not even biker marines mind you), something necrons have no problems dealing with.

They do, but they are very rare. All lord types and can them, but most people would rather give them a scythe. Triarch Stalkers can have them, and that's a pricey walker that takes an elite choice. Crypteks can take them, but to unlock them you have to build your army in a special way, and it works against ld, not T. It is AP1 though.

The chaos player (if it was marines) could have had a field day with them with a helturkey.

For necrons you can try the death mark/ guy with leadership flamer combo. Due to being with death marks he wounds on 2s.

This. Deathmarks and despairteks gives farseers (and other HQ units) a bad day.

Anything that can reduce or deny cover, and/or pierce armour, will do well against eldar. Assault will still be a problem as much of the army relies on cover and/or has 1 attack per model with no melee weapons. Against vehicles, esp wave serpents, relatively low-S high volume shots like autocannons and assault cannons will be very efficient.

Thanks for all the replies! A HellTurkey should be hatching as soon as my buddy has the money to buy one. Otherwise i'm really limited necrons wise right now for units. I may have to pick up some deathmarks in the near future. But basically if I double markerlight it and remove cover save then they will have a bad day (with my tau) or hit them with flamers.. Interesting. Thanks for the input!

Except they're are potentially rocking a re-rolled 4++ alongside a re-rolled 2+ armoursave (new warlock buff), so there is a chance that Flamers are going to be doing diddly to them. The only real route to deal with them is through sheer firepower and torrent them to death. Nightscythes and Barges are good for this with Necrons, remember in their fullest form that could easily be a 600+ point unit, so you should be able to field enough stuff to accomplish that.

Tarpitting them with a big unit of Warriors or the like could work too, since the Council only have 2 attacks each with no AP value (though if he's clever he'll run DE allies to get Hit and Run).
