We have an ork player in our group that plays a similar list without the dakkajets. He maxes out the nob bikers and he's been unbeatable since. I'd say get some bikes and wreak havoc.

I always liked the idea of bikes, I have just shyed away from them for the fact that they are like 15 bucks a pop =/

40K is the epitome of the idea of paying to win. If you're not ready to spend more than your opponent - ESPECIALLY with orks - you need to be a tactical genius or not mind losing.

That said, I use my nob bikes with deffkoptas in the first few turns to act as a distraction, and the nob bikers at least always tend to take out a unit or two before being blown up.

Hmm I like the sound of that list, especially because I have most of those models besides the bikes. Have you looked into the biker boss from the IA8 book??

He disallows Big Guns in your army, personally I wouldn't bother.

One vindcator will wreak havok on this list. So will a unit of Thunderwolf cav, IG gun line, Death wing, anything equally as fast as your bikes (i am looking at you DA) DE will wreak havok with all there 4+ wounds. Then the worst one of all in my opinion, an entire foot list of IG that just runs straight at you. Against MEQ with no large blasts that instentkill/ or no JAWS/runepriest i see this list mabey winning.

the problem lies in this. A smart oppent, will see your gretchin nock them out turn 1, then focuse their entire army till your nob bikers are gone, after that you can not claim a single objective.

I dont have much to say on the original list as from the look of it, its already kinda gone so mmm...

^ with regards to that, I dont think vindictors are good against nob bikers. Sure they're gonna be IDing them, but its 24" and the bikers should be able to play around that and you may not even get a shot. And if you do, you're still only going to hit around 3. Probably the best thing for bikers are manticores having greater range and coverage. In general I think standard MEQs have a bit of difficulty countering large nob biker units. The other stuff, yeah maybe but its still 2W guys with T5, 4+ cover and 5+FNP most of the time. And I doubt the grots would be on the field the first turn. They're not contributing anything to the fight, just to hold a home objective so you'd hold them in reserve and just come in later.

If your attack is going too well, you have walked into an ambush

The easy way is always mined

Oh come on now grots are the shootiest unit the orks have They would most definatly sit in reserves as long as possible.

Yeah that is a strong list Id split up the lootas into 3 units so they can gtg and you've got more targets. But that's minor.

My thoughts exactly and maybe put them behind an ADL with the kannons

I'm not a fan of 10 Lootas. Mainly because 10 lootas aren't fearless, while 15 lootas are fearless and have 50% more firepower which can be the difference between hurting a unit, or whipping it out.

So far I've played against DE, Deathwing, and a 3xVindicator list, all wins for the Greenskins. And the gretchin stay in reserves to take objectives later in the game. The key to games is sending the bikers upfield to take out threats, and draw fire (Warboss in front, closely followed by BC bikes). The biker unit is insanely resilient. Warboss will LOS to his BC escort, and will keeping wounds that would instakill T5. While that's going on you prioritize targets for the rest of your long range shooting stuff.

The one list that gave me the most trouble was 2x landraider, Bloodangel deep striking list. Main problem was that I deployed with too much space for my opp to deep strike behind my front line, and of course the AV 14.

For me the ADL has never worked out, especially against Tyranids (Mysetic Spores) or Space Marines (Drop Pods). I put my 15 Lootas in Battlewagons (moving they can snap fire - not much different). Give my Big Meks KFF and Burnas and put them with the lootas.

Taking Dakkajets has been tricky. always take Fighta Ace, you'll thank me later for that. But these guys are awesome with Weirdboy HQ - Warphead allows them to re-roll and the Extra Waaagh! makes the Dakkajet rain fire. with the compliment of a large footslogging force, weirdboy might just teleport them into battle. Old Zogwort is a nice addition as well since he might turn their IC into a squig - which when this happens you'll thank me again for it.

I'm in agreement with a lot of people mostly because static line orks are basically not living up to their potential. Def Dreads are nice to have around but without a KFF they drop rather easily.
