Anyone try an ork walker army in 6th? Something like 2 big meks with KFF 3 deff dreads, 6 killa kans and a bunch of foot sloggin boys behind the walker wall? Wondering if it would be viable (normal games non turny lists) or if it would just get steam rolled?
Seems like somewhat fun list to run.

Wouldn't get steam rolled, but not viable in a competitive format IMO.

Right it would get skooled vs a true competitive list but might hold its own vs a "regular" list.

You mean by just using the Ork codex or by the Imperial armor 8?

If you have both you can even fitt more kans, using a couple as fast attack
anyhow, I found Kan / dread lists to be most effective against Nids - IG (sounds crazy but true the amount of armor is hilarious) and Dark eldar. Take a Kustom forcefield on a Kustom meka dread ^^

I have run IA8 Dreadmob a few times in 6th. Walkers ave taken a big hit and they are not as good as they use to be......however, I always enjoy the look of 15 Killa Kanz, 6 Deff Dreadz and 2 Mega Dreadz running at people lol
Its not competitive......but good for a fun game.

You, sir, are a true Ork player.
The FW Mega-Dread is AV13 and has a 5+ save IIRC, and it looks freaking awesome.

I think the mega dread is APOC only IIRC, the mekka dread though I know I can use for regular games.

Nah man, Mega Dread is 40k approved, and can be used in a standard Ork army as well (if you can somehow put a Mekka Dread in there first... which it doesn't tell you how...)

You cannot run apocalypse formations in 40k mate. They're called apocalypse formations for a reason
