So aside from my orks which im reworking I also have a CSM army that is still in its infancy and I really dont know where to go with it.
Im torn between having a fun fluffy list and one that will win most games that I play.
My idea so far is something like this
Khorne DP with wings, power armor and black mace
Khorne zeerkers in a LR
hand full of warp tallons to get into the assault
Forgefeind (fully magnitized to utilize all options)
And some hell drakes.
Not sure what to add as troops choices or where to go from here.
So far the models that i have are the DV set, a DP, and the forgefiend magnitized.
Help Please?

Tzeentch dp is the best build, much better than khorne. 2 heldrakes minimum. Plague marines are actually better in combat than berzerkers. Obliterators are always good.
I would buy two heldrakes before you buy any thing else

I suggest lots of practice with different units so you can better familiarize yourself with the codex as a whole.
The reason being that a great list doesn't make a player great. There are TONS of players that run net lists that were used by a tourney winner, but that same list in a noobs hands isnt going to make you win most games. You have to know how to use each unit effectively against the different enemy units you will face, and the best way to do that is practice.

Couldnt agree more, I will have to do tons of sub ins or "as is" units as I dont have the money or time to paint them all.
