I am just wondering.

For Example : 3 Predators in 1 Squadron.

Does that take up 1 heavy support slot or 3 heavy support slot in the Force Organisation Chart.

Cant seem to find any rules regarding this.

Thanks.

Going to use Dark Angles for this example.

Page 103 has the rule you are looking for, but it is found in all profiles so you will find it in the predator section of the codex you are looking at. In the section called unit composition you will find how many models are in the units and which ones. There is only one way to modify this number, and that is additional models being purchased if it is available in this part of the codex. As this is the very start of the game, you do not yet have the choice to combine units to other units, so you count them all separately. Do note: there is no way to do so with vehicles to begin with as units can not just combine and even independent units with this ability can not join vehicles.

You have your answer on how many slots 3 predators would take and also a reminder 'vehicle squad' rules are only applicable to units that begin with multiple vehicles to begin with.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

This would mean Chaos Predator is a single unit by itself and fielding 3 will take up 3 Force Organisation chart.

Damn.

Alright Thanks

It's also worth noting that vehicle squadrons are explicitly identified as such.

e.g. (from Codex Imperial Guard):
Manticore Rocket Launcher

vs

Leman Russ Squadron
Composition: Vehicle Squadron composed of 1-3 of the following tanks

or

Hydra Flak Tank Battery
Composition: Vehicle Squadron composed of 1-3 hydra flak tanks

The Manticore cannot be a squadron. Leman Russ and Hydras can be squadrons.
