'lo to all,
I was wondering about the fallen angels, y'know, how they were all really screwed over and ended up being scattered across space and time?
Anyways, I was wondering, If a) how many fallen angels are still in existence b) are there are any good fallen angels left and c) would the Dark Angels ever let a fallen angel join them.

Any answers are appreciated

a) Unknown exactly how many, but it's probably a lot since they're from the times when the DA were a 10,000-strong Legion. The DA have records of all Fallen and are still searching in the "present day".

b) Depends. Cypher, the most famous Fallen, is ambiguous. There was also a Fallen in a BL DA book that I cannot recall who thought that he was good. Basically he took over a world and made it into a military dictatorship, intending to continue the Great Crusade, which he felt should have never ended.

Anyway, it really depends on the individual Fallen, I'd say. They don't have to be evil.

c) Nope. They hate the Fallen with a passion, and only aim to torture them until they repent. They see the Fallen as horrible traitors and a stain upon their Chapter's honour.

A) No clue, but like it was said before, I imagine its a lot. The hunt for them extend for over 10 000 years, after all. And certain Legions were a lot larger than 10k marines, so its possible that there would be tens of thousands of Fallen out there.

B) Depends on the Fallen, but I would imagine the vast majority of them are your run of the mill evil villain Chaos Marines. Regardless of their individual and initial goals, they've had thousands of years to get corrupted.

C) Never. First off, Dark Angels don't care if the Fallen they hunt are good or evil. They want them repentent, they want them to admit that what they did back during the Heresy was wrong, and they want them to beg for a quick death and an end to all the shame. Most Fallens are evil warped monsters that would never show any hint of morality, and those that do are warriors, survivors and conquerors that have escaped the Imperium for over thousands of years. Most likely, theres never even been a Fallen that repented before the Interrogator Chaplain started his work.

I remember some very very old fluff hinting that the Fallen weren't the ones that were traitors

I like to think there are some good fallen. It would make things interesting. There is one time I know of a fallen and da working together. Its in the ascension of ballthasar audio. The cooperation did not last long.

I remember this as well. That the true secret was the fallen wanted to help the emperor and the now curent DA wanted to wait and see how the chips fell. Now that the Emperor "won" they wanted to erase this mistake.
