I've never played Guild before, and my gf wants to start a Perdita crew (my least favorite). Does anyoe have any advice for building an effective perdita crew?

The only models i know for sure that are MUST HAVES for her are Perdita and Abuela.

A lot is up in the air atm with the open beta test for Malifaux 2.0, but if you want to help her build a Perdita Crew, I might suggest looking at her pullmyfinger page. This would give you ideas as to what works well for her crew, and give you tips on where to go. The best part is that since she wants Abuela, you can bring in non (Family) members and give them the Family characteristic so that they can companion with Perdita et al.

Perdita is fairly straightforward, even in M2E. You'll want the other Family models, an Austringer or two, and her totem, which is pretty decent now.

I haven't really put much into M2 yet, because out of my entire crew, only 2 1/2 models have been statted out (zoraida and teddy) and my main opponent plays collette. I suppose once i see rules for some more of my crew (collodi, stitched, marrionette, et. al) I'll get into the spirit of 2, but for the moment I'm still sticking to 1st ed.
