Here's some stuff I've been working on lately for my combined Chaos Space Marines and Daemons army, all Nurgle stuff. I really wanted to build an army based around the units I thought were coolest, mainly forgefiends and lots of troops, horde style chaos monsters. Can't say it's really balanced or effective, as I've only played one game with them. But, I paint mainly for fun and stuff.
So here's my forgefiends, fully magnetized. Love this model, although it is simply exhausting to paint. 3 on the battlefield would be epic, but the prospect of painting another one would bring me to tears with all the brasswork and detail involved. I did both of them with salt weathering, a mix of table salt and kosher salt. Airbrushed and then lots of layers on the brasswork. Lots of AK interactive washes, followed with Tamiya transparent paints for the glossy stuff.
Took first place in the vehicles category for this one at Genghis Con 2013 painting comp!
Maximum firepower!!!
Zombies:
These are from Wargames Factory, fairly cheap, $20 for 30 zombies. They get quite repetitive to assemble and paint, though. All are painted very basically, dipped, drybrushed and then covered in blood and nurgle juice. Tamiya transparents again.
Plague Drones:
I really didn't spend a lot of time on them, basic paint job, some airbrushing on the wings but I kinda got bored with them to be honest. Perhaps some excessive amounts of gore and Tamiya transparent paints again.
