So... I have a friend who may be getting a Titan of some kind and I think (For Space Wolves at any rate) I figured out a deathstar that will basically destroy any titan except the bio variation 100% of the time.
Just take a Rune Priest, stick him in a squad of 9 Wolf Guard, give all the wolf guard Combi Meltas and a Drop Pod. Take as needed. (2 for a War Hound, maybe 4 for a Warlord?) Also, for each squad buy a Drop Pod elsewhere. You don't have to use it, it just gives you turn one deep strike.
It only costs 350 a pop, and you get turn one into rear armor with 9 twin linked melta shots. So am I missing anything?

Not really. As it stands now titans kind of die to close range meltas, at least that's what I've heard.

Like watching other people play video games (badly) while blathering about nothing in particular? Check out my Youtube channel: joemamaUSA!

Nemesis Titan Hammer formations ruin their day. That Vortex grenade is just nasty.

MCs in Close combat also punch their faces in.

Your idea works too.

What's a Nemesis Titan hammer?

A formation that requires hammernators and captain Lysander, it's big bonus is the Vortex Grendae, which is pretty much an autowin against superheavies and gargantuans.

I run 7 hammernators, a PF/LC TDA MoS and at TH/SS Marshall from the BT codex and a Chaplain Dread with dual DCCWs all in a Thunderhawk:

28 S9 attacks
11 S8 attacks
4 S10 attacks

all hits are rerollable... Poof goes whatever is in charge-range.

FW says that 1 SP=3 HP, so even with the smallest titans you're going to need to pray for a crap ton of glancing hits.
