Am havibg a bit of an off nightcand can't find what I'm looking for!

I'vs a game coming up soon against a Tau army, and am thinking of equipping jump packs and deep striking my entire army.

Is this possible? Something is niggling in the back of my mind that 50% have to start on the table.

Page 124 of the Rulebook is the one you're looking for, the bit under "Preparing Reserves" (bottom left ish) explains the limits on how many units can be placed in reserve.

Yes, 50% of your units (rounded down) must be on the table. Now, that being said, units which must start the game in reserve no matter what, units inside a dedicated transport which must start the game in reserve no matter what, and Independent Characters attached to those units, all don't count towards that 50% threshold.

So no, you can't Deep Strike your whole Tau army. 50% of the army has to start on the table.

You forgot Flyers, which sometimes are not DT. The GK Stormraven, for example, must start in reserve, and so a unit that is inside it does not count toward the limit.

Even if you could hold all in reserves, you would automatically lose end of Game turn 1
