I know this is a very specific thread. I had one today though. My Keeper of Secrets with grimoire went on a crazy rampage. She charged and killed a squad of 10 kabalites (not that incredible), she then charged and challenged an archon with huskblade and shadowfield. He was powered up from a soultrap and after being reduced to 1 wound left she destroyed him. Then she challenged and killed a CSM lord of Nurgle who was on full wounds. After that she charged and destroyed in a single round of combat, a squad of 5 chaos terminators. She then went on to finish off a squad of plague marines. Not bad at all.
I had a game the other day against a guy using Tyranids, horde of genestealers with a broodlord. I had some sniper scouts and tactical terminators. Normally terminators get ripped to shreds by genies, but after 5 turns with the termies locked in combat, there was only one dead, the sergeant. This made me quite happy, especially as they were new models and the new model syndrome hadnt affected them at all

I was playing a game that went horribly for me a while back. Incredibly bad rolling.
The unit that impressed me was an enemy brood lord with 2 wounds left. He got shot at by about 2-3 crisis suits and between to hit and to wound I missed every shot (about 6 shots that needed a 4+ to hit and a 2+ to wound ignoring armor). Then he charged into a unit of pathfinders, got though overwatch completely unscathed (he had about 30 odd pulse rifle shots coming down on his head by the way) then tied the pathfinder squad up for exactly one assault phase before they broke on my turn, so I couldn't even shoot at the brood lord again.

I once tabled a Imperial Guard army with just five Wolf scouts and a Wolf Priest. He thought he had it after shelling the core of my 1500 pt Wolf army.
Man that was a fun game.
I've sold so many armies. :(

IG troop squad (dont know which) that had 4 flamers and dropped out of a vendetta. Those 4 flamers covered my Warboss's meat shield (17 shootas W/Nob) who had shown some pretty good resilience up till then. Those 17 shootas, including the Nob, went up in a puff of smoke. My Warboss was untouched, and made his Ld.

A lone BT Initiate, having previously survived a Stormraven crash, he ran forwards to claim an objective, took the last hullpoint off a trukk and held off 2 separate charges of a Warboss and a Nob mob, needless to say he died the next turn, but for sheer grit and determination the next dreadnought I field will be in his name

My Hive Tyrant never fails to impress me. He's my table wide 'Mr Fix It'. He'll swoop to one side of the table, and kill a unit. Swoop the the center, passing out buffs or debuffs as needed, then killing another unit that was pressuring me. Then swoop somewhere else, fixing another problem.
Unfortunately, he's become a bit of a crutch for me at times. Sometimes, if he dies, I feel a bit too neutered. I overcome it most of the time, but sometimes it's just like 'oh crap, how am I going to get this gak done now?'.

You do know that the huskblade inflicts instant death right?

During one battle against a GK player, my IG surprised me with their tenacity and willingness to martyr themselves. One Chimera was being assaulted by a squad of Terminators. Obviously, it didn't last to long, but what happened surprised everyone. It had exploded, and it took out...4 of them. 4 failed their armor saves, proving that they had somehow augmented the blast to destroy those being led by a Rogue Inquisitor.
And in the same battle, everyone was dead, except the Grand Paladin (Or something) with one wound, and one a Vanquisher Class Lemun Russ with one hull point left, and only the main gun left. They met in the very center of the map, somehow survived a turn of close combat, and with a single shot, slew the Warlord. It was a fantastic game to say the least.

In my last game my Vulture was caught up in Interceptor fire and shot down. The plucky pilot however, decides to make a scene and the wreckage crashes onto the remnants of a squad of Scouts. Despite being in cover with Camo Cloaks the crashing Vulture wipes out the remaining members, earning me a Kill Point and freeing up another objective.
My Tervigon with endurance on himself weathering 5 turns of Tau fire. He made almost every save and got a wound back every turn.
He could have shot at something else but he felt he yust had to kill it after that display so he continued till the game ended with his army engulfed in the swarms that went unopposed

Last time I played Dark Eldar in a 1750k game my Imperial guard veteran squad (150 points) with two Plasma guns, a Plasma Pistol and Meltagun, killed over 750 points of models; 2 Venoms, an Archon and his Trueborn escort, a Reaver Jetbike squad and a Ravager over the coarse of 5 turns. They were the only unit I had left on the field beside a guardsmen in my company command squad and a heavy weapon squad at the end of the game, they also held the objective which held the game to a draw. They were amazing.

I pretty much imagined a run-down and ragged squad of 4 soldiers back-to-back holding back the horde. I hope those guys got some kind of uniform change or were named after such a fight.

In the last edition, my Dire avengers used to consistently out perform the rest of my army.
7 Dire avengers taking out 5 Justaerin in one turn was nice. My exarch has been known to kill terminators with his power sword.
Again in 4th ed, My Avatar once went toe to toe with the old nightbringer - the 400pt one from the old dex. Survived the nightbringers attacks without taking a wound and then nutted him.
My 155pt Avatar also went up against Horus in apoc and survived 4 turns of combat.
Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives.

Was versing DE in this situation and he had 2 raiders fulled with wracks and Haemys jammed down my throat. Since the wracks were already a bit excited and had 2 liquifiers each I didn't want to be on the receiving end of the charge, even with me being orks and all. So had positioned units to assault each wracks unit once the raiders were down. The one on my flank blew and and that was fine, but it was the one in the centre that was a problem. Fired a boat load of things at it, about 40 shoota shots, the 30 sluggas from the unit infront and a couple of tankbustas and somehow it still had 1HP remaining.
So I was preparing to get liquified, then remember my nob from the slugga unit hadn't shot. I always do them separately because of precision shots, but also forget about them often as a consequence. Anyway, he manages to hit on an awesome 5+ then glance it on a 6 to finally knock it out! The mob of sluggas promptly charged into assault creaming the wracks and in the same battle his warlord haemoculus challenged the fortuitous nob. Somehow the haem failed to kill him and he pulverised him into the dust with his power klaw in return. DOUBLETAP!
My response to his awesomeness:
On a separate note, against the same guy I've had one of my more unimpressive moments. Turn 1, I'm starting and drop pod in a dreadnought and challenge his talos to a duel (not a rules one, just a matter of honour as they were the two CC bad boys on the field). So on his turn he charges in. The game finished on turn 6 and they were still going at it. WTF? I still take that dreadnought but he always sucks hard, sometimes I wonder why I bother, then remember its the ancient metal model; one of the first couple I got... oh nostalgia...

My Harpy really impressed me in its first ever game.
I was against DA.
It took out 4 Termies and half a Tac squad with shooting, and killed another Termie and Belial in close combat. And thats Belial with his Fleshbane sword as well!
It would have killed more termies but they would not roll one's no matter how often I asked them to.
I got 5 dead on hits with Large blasts on a 11 man squad of Deathwing with Belial (Cluster Spines, Stranglethorn Cannon, 3 Spore Mine Cyst hits) causing 55 hits, which became a pretty tasty 41 wounds. And they only failed 4 saves!!
I think with less luck on my opponents part it would have wrecked additional face.

A Terran Alliance and Dindrenzi Fleet for Firestorm Armada
A Necromunda Goliath gang and Spyrer gang
Well a single DW terminator surviving over 40 saves from Gargoyles per turn. He stood there for about 3 turns. That's about 120 saves before he died.
And a cheap dreadnaught wrecking an Ork Battlewagon, making it explode and then killed all the scorchas that were inside the next turn.
Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.
My crisis teams regularly surprise me with their shenanigans.
I know they can easily be killed by many things, but I swear they are a great troll unit. By the time a dedicated CC units reaches my suits they are usually too weakened from overwatch and the previous turn's shooting to take out MEQ with str 5, w 2 and 2 atk base.

My last terminator and Belial (4th ed codex) fighting off an entire Tau 500pt army. Killed all the Kroot, killed the warlord and his bodyguard, killed 3 stealth suits, and killed a team of marker drones. With a regular ass power fist terminator and Belial
I know dlord and wraiths are good.. but recently I played a game where a wraith wounded, and grounded a BT with his particle caster.. they then assaulted and killed him.. moved on and killed a group of 7 bloodcrushers.. then moved on and killed a soul grinder then moved over and moped up some letters. In all that fighting I only lost 2 wraiths.
