Two of my friends and I are having an argument about jump infantry. One friend (and I use this term loosely) swears that if his Blood Angel Assault Marine squad uses its jump packs in the movement phase by moving more than 6" it can't use Hammer of Wrath in that following assault phase. My other friend and I (who are at the receiving end of the Hammer of Wrath) say he's wrong and he may move 12" in the movement phase and gain all of the benefits of jump infantry in the assault phase. We could not find anything to the contrary in the BRB despite him texting us with a picture of the jump infantry page at f@&%ing 4AM!!!! Please end this debate so I may throw him a pity party (tackle him then repeatedly punch him while yelling pity party, I see this as the only logical way to conclude the argument).

The BRB states you may use your jump packsin movement or assault, but not both.

If you do not use your packs in asssault, you cannot use HoW

Re-read page 47, under Assault Phase.

You have to use your Jump pack to charge to get HoW.

Your friend. with the Blood Angel Assault Marine squad, is correct. It seems he is the one that is going to throw the

BRB page 47 wrote:they cannot use their jump packs in both phases in the same turn.

If you don't use your Jump Pack in the assault phase you can't roll the charge distance nor do you get HoW.
