I play Valhallans, and I play them as they should be played - hordes of infantry with the biggest, baddest, simplest heavy support I can manage. Basic Leman Russes and Basilisks support my huge mobs of Guardsmen with Commissars, and the command squad has the red banner and Master of Ordnance the army can rally around. I also run heaps of weapon teams. It's very fluffy, and looks fantastic on the table. Consider that a shameless plug to check out my thread on them, linked in my sig

I've also got a mixed Catachan/Cadian/Steel Legion force, but I haven't played them in quite some time.

Quite a lot.

Cadians, Vostroyans, Valhallans, DKoK, Elysian, and my own Rodinav Frost Blades (based on the modern russian/late soviet army as part of the Inciphis Region project I'm working on). I'm interested in acquiring Steel Legion, Praetorian, and Tallarn models though.

I'd be interested. Although I'm not sure if this is the right thread for it.

Go on but possibly in a new thread? Fluff writing section or ummmm.... history?

Personally I play my own DIY armoured regiment.

If I could, I would love DKoK, Elysians, and Iron.

Ive always wondered why they would do that to us. Painting 75 catachans was an experience, kind of like how getting divorced or passing a kidney stone is an "experience"

This made me laugh so I stole it for my signature

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

I think "We hate our fans, almost as much as we hate making money" is the explanation for a lot of things GW does.
