Fieravious Carron does indeed rant about metal boxes when you attack the Blood Ravens in the Soulstorm campaign.

It's not the canon ending anyway, canonically Governor Millitant Vance Stubbs of the Imperial guard killed Chaos Lord Carron (Bear in mind by this point he has wrist mounted plasma pistols, artifact lightning claws, master crafted carapace armor, extensive bionics, and a large and elite command squad) in single combat while his regiment ground 8 other factions into the dirt.
Carron was never noted as being particularly bright or intelligent.
The canonical endings for each of the DOW games are as follows:
There's only one campaign ending for DOW 1.
The Eldar won winter assault
The Blood Ravens conquered Kronus
The Imperial Guard liberated the Kaurava system
There's only one ending for DOW 2
Avitus is the traitor and the heroes of Aurelia are declared renegades.
The Blood Ravens redeem themselves and Diomedes kills Kyras.
