Just got back into the hobby since I was 14 or something. After much work stripping and scrubbing old models, and purchasing a Blood Ravens battle force, I have started to build my own Blood Ravens army.

I had the pieces for a space marine chaplain on a bike. But I do not have a bike, so I had to come up with something! I figured his pose would be weird just being glued to a base, but he kind of looks like hes coming in for a landing.

After drilling a hole in his bum(ouch), stealing of some clear plastic from a poor eldar, some glueing, and some clay to just hold the backpack on I think I have come up with a pretty sweet conversion.

However, I would like to incorporate the wings on the piece intended for the front of his bike onto the sides of his jet pack. But worried it will look too busy.

I would also like to try and bend his legs into more of a knee bend, but I am worried about damaging the metal.

Any tips / comments / critizicism would be very much appreciated

The pictures are a bit small, but I think this looks like a great conversion! The wings on his jump pack I feel would be an excellent addition, making him even more unique.

Get him painted up and post some photos

I'm not a fan of his legs to be honest, they don't look like a natural flying pose, rather like he's riding an invisible bike.

I feel the same way, currently trying to bend them. And should that fail I have some spare assault legs that I can replace them with, but would like very much to keep his natural legs >>

I really like it. Funny enough i have the same mini also minus the bike, I may just 'borrow' your idea.

As for the legs, I found wrapping some sprue around his legs and using pliers Ive been able to get a much nicer pose, took some damage from the pliers that should be gone with a good filing.

Ive added the wings to his jetpack and absolutely love it, need to file the jetpack down a bit so they fit in flatter, right now they stick out weird.

Cheers for all the feedback, I have my own ideas and opinions but untill someone agrees with me I doubt myself too much to try anything lol.

That looks a lot better, if you could adjust the feet so they're at a greater angle it'd completely fix the leg issue.

Ive twisted them as far as they will go without being sure of them breaking. It does look better. Thanks!
