Hey all just got the greater majority of my army painted up and ready for the table(still need to purchase sanguinary guard this week to convert into raptors), and im looking for a little advice on how to run my HQ's as i am definitely going to try and get some gaming in this week at my FLGS!

list is as follows:

HQ: Typhus,

Sorcerer, Sigil, 1 additional mastery level, burning brand, MoT

Troops: Plague Zombies, ten additional(one unit of twenty)
CSM, 5 additional marines,(one unit of 10), Plasmagun, Lascannon, Plasma Pistol, MoT,

Plague Marines, 2 additional(one unit of 7), 2 Meltaguns

Elites: Terminators, 2 additional(one unit of five), 3 powerfists, chainfist, Reaper Autocannon, MoT

Hellbrute, T-L Lascannon, Missile Launcher


Fast Attack:
Bikers, plasmagun, MoS, IoE

Raptors, Plasma gun, Meltagun, MoN
army total is 1,519 gotta find what else i can cut without severely hurting my army, maybe a plasmagun on the raptors or so.




anyways the point of this post is to figure out the best way to run my Sorc and Typhus!
do i run typhus with the terminators? The plague zombies? the plague marines?
same with the sorcerer, where should i put him?

my thoughts are that typhus should go with the terminators and the 6 of them AND the plague zombies should all try and run as a blob and the sorcerer should either joing the plague marines or the CSM.

what is everyone's opinion?

Remember that HQs can't join units with another god's mark so no mixing MoN with MoT.

I like DSing Typhus with 3 Nurgle Obliterators, at 1500 It's odd you don't have a single Obliterator.

@Goat: yeah i dont physically own any so i am not currently running any. they are definitely next on the list of either to buyy and build or to throw in to the list once i get all my minis from california out here. as i do have 3 or 4 in my old boxes, but theyre 3000 miles away so they do me no good at the moment!

I would only get a defiler if you really like the model. The rules are awful.

As for the heldrakes. I didn't like the model when they first came out, but it's grown on me since. It's easy to paint it so it looks nice. It's the model that gets the most "that looks cool" statements from passers by at my game store.

As for your HQs. I would run Typhus with the terminators. Then you can drop two of the power fists as Typhus would provide the AP2 weapons against tougher opponents. That saves you 14 points. If you flip the raptor plasma gun into a melta gun you save 5 more. That way you avoid the weird target range mixup. Also you save 19 points on the dot.

Typhus also makes those guys fearless so you don't need to worry about them booking. I would only deep strike them if you need the mobility. Not starting on the table decreases targets for your opponent, so he focuses more firepower at fewer units. Other reason to deep strike is to bring combi-meltas into range and you don't have any of those.

I would put the sorcerer with the CSM. He can't really go anywhere else with troops and if he joins the terminators, they won't have the option to deep strike. In the future I would suggest to give your sorcerer terminator armor. For same point cost as sigil of corruption you get a 2+ 5++.

Typhus either goes w/ the zombies or PM's, he cannot join the termy squad as they have different marks. Put the sorc w/ the csm & ditch the MoT on them - its worthless.

Crap I missed the terminator marks.

I totally agree on dumping the MoT from the marines. 6++ is really not worth it.

Take those extra points and give your terminators combi weapons.

I would probably take the MoT from the terminators as well, then attach Typhus to them.

Typhus in with the plague zombies, they sponge wounds and it really doesn't matter then if you decide to activate ye old destroyer hive
