So here's a quick overview of my current army I'm thinking about. I am fine with footslogging or redesigning for more armor. I'm always open to new ideas.

Please let me know if you think there are any glaring errors or changes that would be made. My biggest concern right now are fliers but I think if my opponent fields too many I could just ignore them and hide with my troops.

HQ- Huron Blackheart

Troop - CSM x 10, boltguns + flamers + meltabombs

Troop - CSM x 10, boltguns + meltaguns + meltabombs

Elite - Khorne Zerks x 8, Champion with PF and Chainaxe

Dedicated Transport - x1 rhino (plain)


ALLIED GUARD

HQ- Company Command Squad, x4 Grenade Launchers, Commander with Power Weapon

Troop-

Platoon Command Squad, x4 Grenade Launchers

Infantry Squad A, flamer + meltabombs

By my calculations that's 1170 points. I have 330 points left to put around towards more HVY or transports or anything really.

Any idea's dakka?

I want ask, why only 1 spec gun on the csm squads of 10 men? I suggest 2 meltaguns, trade all bolters for ccw, put them in rhinos with a dirge castor so you can use them to clear obj or kill tanks.

I am not sure how you are getting a fist & chainaxe on the skull champ.

I would use huron to infiltrate a large flamer blob of guards if the rules allow it. If not then I would infiltrate the biggest 20 man squad of csm or 10 man termi, MoS, IoE, buy ccw, get plasmaguns, pow sword or maul, plasma pistol, meltabombs on champ.

Oh, btw since IG is ally, I suggest you take a doctrine that allows you to take squadron of valkery/vendettas, lrbt, etc...

Huron trait doesn't work on allies in convience, only battle brothers (demons).

You seem to lack anti-tank against AV13+, Your only anti tank against those is that one CSM squad with meltas, and if your opponent is smart, that unit is gone turn 1.

I would add one of those guard tanks that fires hgih S blasts.

Oh, I would use 330pts to get a landraider for the kb to have a proper assault. Put a dirge caster on that too. Spend the rest on,2 rhinos to give the lr cover by placing it between LoS.

What are your guard allies doing? They are very unspecified. I assume you are running them as a blob?

Firstly, I have x2 meltaguns, and x2 flamers on the CSM squds. I'm thinking about switching them both to melta's.

The Infantry Squads are going to be in the basic groups of 10 with 1 flamer and a meltabomb for each one. I'm thinking about doing 120 points for x2 more squads of flamer+meltabombs for my allied guards platoon.

My goal with Huron is to give him infiltrate and attach him to the khorne berzerkers and go at it. Or perhaps attach him to the CSM squad with meltaguns and ride the zerks in the rhino. Either way it's up for interpretation.I want to have at least one more squad from the CSM: Codex just in case I get lucky and roll a 5 or 6 on Huron's warlord and get to infiltrate three squads. I'll still have someone to ride in my single rhino. (I own ONE rhino atm my only tank)

The guards are up in the air. I want to use an Aegis Defense Line and hide the HVY teams back with the two IG command squads with launchers. The Commander himself operating the Aegis Defense Line quad gun if I get one. IDK yet.

First of all dont use Grenade Launchers..... spend the extra points on melta or plasma. Your ADL plans are solid but you say the rest of the guard is up in the air? in what vehicle?

330 points to spend, definitely get a heldrake. The anti-blob power it brings is awesome and can lend a hand at AA. With the remainder points, get an ADL with quad gun and use it as you said, and for a little extra AA. This should be a very solid list.

Although in an objective game, your lack of scoring units will hurt, as allies of convenience can not claim objectives for the primary...
A minimal squad of cultists for 50p could help you a little to camp in cover objectives.

Also it seems marbo is just a fancy guy hanging out. I mean he is really good but not that scary by himself. Why not get him some reserve back up? Either Forward Sentry Vets, Deep Strike Storm Troopers? or better yet something from the chaos list that fills that roll.

The infiltrating squads are meant to "assist" marbo as much any any can.

I didn't think over the allies of convenience not getting scoring...

When I said "up in the air" it was a figure of speech mostly meaning that I don't have many models yet and am looking to buy. I'm not concrete on my imperial guard list yet.

As my Chaos Space Marine army goes. I own zerks, 20 marines, rhino, x2 demon princes (I don't want to use) and a bunch of random bits / pieces. No tanks cept the rhino

I would love to field a Heldrake with a Baleflamer just to mess with my friend who plays MEQ. But I didn't think it was worth it because hellhounds are 40 points cheaper and have a sweet torrent flamer as well.

I don't actually own Huron Blackheart yet either. I'm thinking about taking a lord with the burning brand of skalathrax instead maybe. But I don't know how my army would get across the field then.

Marbo is very scary...demo charges, melta bombs plus the fact that he can deepstrike without scatter along with his 2+ AP pistol is very scary. However you are right in some sense, 1 guy is not scary but
the potential damage he could do to the enemy is scary. He is like a big distraction to the enemy forcing them to kill him instead of pursuing other goals. One of the major downsides of Marbo is that
he's as frail as guardsmen 5+ cover save, no flak jacket needed for it and by deep striking him into the enemy is probably going to give them first blood but hey 65 points for him is a bargain.

I would still definitely take the heldrake over the hellhound... Being a flyer it is harder to kill for the enemy, and yes it can vector strike other flyers at strength 7, so viable as anti air, and pretty much insta wounds anything that ain't a terminator.
Still maybe drop a few imp units to take cultist for scoring units...

Well the plan was to infiltrate units in, and when Marbo comes in from reserves the panic / target priority of my enemy should already be focused on MEQ squads that are withen 18''.

Marbo is just a beast and my friend in Germany uses one and just loves him for his character / fluff and random glory days. I figured if I was going to take guard allies why not use him until I decide on a different elite choice.

I do agree, I need to fix my allied unit and get maybe 20 cultists in my primary detachment somehow. I've been eyeing up the Dark Vengeance set at the local store and it could provide me with most of the models I need except the tanks.

I've thought about adding a khorne lord with the burning brand just to make my zerkers troops. In most cases I'd be able to give Huron AND my khorne lord infiltrate and then attach them to their separate squads.

I'm going to goof around a little with the Codex's. Thank you for all the comments and criticism. I feel like I need more melta weapons or anything heavy Anti-tank. Also I need more primary troop choice. One Heldrake seems very reasonable and fun.

Do Vector Strikes against tanks always count as hitting their rear armor?

The main reason I was taking IG allies was for Marbo, and cheap autocannons. Maybe I could switch allies at this point for something else? I only have 465 points invested in IG allies with this list.

IG compliment marines quite well either for sitting on the objective or sending in elites troops through chimeras or vendettas.

You might want to not group your autocannons into HWT, they do dish out awesome damage but there still guardsmen. IMO its
better if you group them with Infantry Squads, at least you have 7 men to sacrifice before the autocannon goes.
