I'm slowly learning WHFB. I know that in general, magic items are unique and only one per army unless specified in the rules.
My question is what items are not unique? I've seen some items (such as Dispel Scrolls) taken multiple times in armies, but don't see anything saying you can.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Currently I think only Warpstone Tokens for skaven are the only non-unique magic items.

And Dwarf Runes (ok, they aren't magic, but they may as well be).
Also, magic items which come with units are not unique, but are still magic items.

In general multiples of the same magic item went out the window with 8th edition. You can safely assume that unless your army book says otherwise, you can only ever have one of a given item.

I suggest you don't believe anything posted by thedarkavenger unless confirmed by other regular posters here at Dakka. He has shown he is incapable of basic English comprehension.

Dispel scrolls USED to be non-unique, however 8th edition has changed that. So be careful when reading old batreps etc, as this was a neat small change to 8th from previous 2 (+, possibly, just know for sure the last two) editions

Thanks everyone. it was actually recently at my local store (within the last couple of months), so it might just be old rules mentality.

Almost certainly. It was so ingrianed that you could take additional scrolls (and possibly power stones?) that it is a hard thing to shake.

Also, Dark Elf Null Talismans can be taken in multiples... not that anyone does.
