Here is a mini from Mordheim. I decided to paint him up as my character for the Iron Kingdoms RPG (I'm playing him as a knight/aristocrat that is clearly past his prime and often confused).

Great metals, and the coat on the horse looks wonderful!

Think that figure's mustache is the real winner, though. And the rosy nose? Is your character fond of taverns?

Yes he is. I'm glad I was able to bring that out in the painting.

VERY nicely painted... but... you should have posed him on a donkey rather than a horse :p

Well, Don Quixote had a horse named Rocinante. Sancho Panza rides the donkey.

Absolutely gorgeous.

Especially love the armour - did you use Citadel paints for that?

No, I don't think there were any Citadel colours on the armor. They're mostly Vallejo colors.

The base for the armor was Tinny Tin (basically Tin Bitz). I then used P3 Pig Iron to cover most of the armor, just leaving the Tin in the cracks. I gave it a wash, and promptly ignored it until after I was finished with the rest of the mini.

After I sealed the mini, I highlighted the armor up higher by mixing in Vallejo Game Color Silver (Mithril Silver) and Vallejo's Model Color Silver (which is lighter and brighter than any other silver paint I've come across).

Sealing the mini before you have finished the metals helps the shininess to be dynamic and add to the depth (he's less shiny where the mini is darker).
