Well, I'm saying ahead of time that I'll be purchasing something before finishing my painting, not that I have a huge model collection. By the end of tomorrow I will have a Valkyrie and either a Leman Russ or chimera, depending on my Christmas budget. So I will have:

20 Guardsmen (assembled)
2 Lascannon teams (no progress whatsoever )
1 Valkyrie
1 Tank of some sort

Plus a friend may get me one of the boxes of 5 guardsmen to eliminate his shipping fee on his next order

I recently gave up on CSM, because I thought they were boring, so I started Orks, at the same time my buddy started IG to do a campaign. So I don't have much to do...

The bikers, marines, havocs, lord of skulls and 2nd heldrake are conversions in various states of progress. I hope to be done in 3-4 months.

Time for an update!!!

I made a ton of progress on some of my primary goals for the last few months (finish most of my tau before nids drop) and was pretty good in not buying (a lot...) of new stuff.

I also managed to sell off a lot of junk.

Here is my updated list.
I will update it again in about a week for the new year - taking off all the completed stuff.


* Numbers on big models refer to the second or third model (tervigon, ghost ark, riptide, etc.) for infantry, it refers to the squad....I tried to break my list up into manageable chunks, as I found it made it easier to get stuff done.
Where I have Models x #, that means I have not broken them into squads for tracking progress....there are too many.

MY TAU

I made a ton of progress on my tau, including getting most of the new stuff done (new dex) and making huge progress on my old stuff (been active in tau for years).
Have about 8000 points done now.


TYRANIDS
Most of my nids have been done a long time, these are mostly stragglers - have about 6000 points built,painted, based.
Most of my nids are on hold until the new dex drops


Necrons.
Oh boy. I Played my old crons in 4th, but decided to repaint them when the new book came out. I have about....4k in the old models/scheme.
I have yet to finalize the new paint scheme, so stuff that says "Repaint" needs painting....I have not even built most of the new book stuff.


Ok, here it gets more vague...

Grey Knights
I started a roman themed Grey Knights army right before the new 5th dex came out, and stopped the project as I found the new book too easy, and I did not want to appear to be a codex hopper.
Eventually, I will get back to them. Its a ton of older models (metal termies, etc.) and lots of conversion pieces.


Space Marines
I have a chapter of my own devising that I used to play either as Dark Angles (when I was in a biker mood...I love bikes) or vanilla SM.
This listing is even more vague...many of the models here are built, and some are base coated, but NONE are DONE.
(for example, I have 40 termies built and magnetized, but not painted and only about 10 are on their custom bases).


Other stuff that is not exactly in any army....

My Daemons are the only ones with a shot at being complete (6 models to go, again...)

My DE will take at least a year or so of solid painting (though i'm making some progress. Did 2 pain engines this weekend)

My Orks, yeah..no.

All 20 of my guardsmen have been primed and basecoated, but painting after my Flamer troopers are fully assembled is a bit of a pain
