I really want to like Skull Cannons. Accurate blast weapons that shred ADL campers is awesome.

Alluring Mounted Daemonette

Im a huge fan on Daemonettes and Pink Horrors. I use the horrors to camp and shoot and the netts to advance with the rest of my army. there is not much that Nettes cannot threaten thanks to rending. And the added 3" run makes them move across the field fast.

Also if you do not like the GW ones and you are not opposed to other companies you should try
Raging Heroes Blood Vestals Command
Raging Heroes Blood Vestal Troop
Raging Heroes Preying Mantis

I personally use these for my Daemonettes. The Preying Mantis as my standard Nettes and the Blood Vestals as Alluress and Herald of Slaanesh.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
they are a bit more expensive but the quality and sculpts are well worth it compared to to the ugly plastic gw nettes, and the shipping is fast too.

I'd be tempted to use DE Wyches as Daemonettes.

Well, the beauty of Daemons is you can pretty much model them as you want, without offending fluff nazis. as long as you're consistent for your opponents sake. Of course, if you game in a GW this limits your options, but doesn't make it impossible.

Not including Slaaneshi models I can understand, but not including Slaaneshi units will hamstring you on the tabletop. They give you a cutting edge and speed that not even DE can easily match.

Many Daemons players will model their whole force after one god, but feature "counts as" models for other units.

Check this thread for inspiration. I've spent hours looking through 3rd party mini sites looking for possible alternatives, its almost become a hobby in itself!

Broadly, troops are tough, as many alternatives will work out more expensive than GW (not often you'll hear me say that lol!) because not many 3rd parties make models to be used in 10s and 20s, but HQ, Elites etc can all be very viable.

It's one of the things I love about Daemons, you can have a lot of fun with it. My Daemon Army is very, well, unconventional, shall we say. The theme is "Girls and Dogs" I use Dark Elf Witch Elves from fantasy for Daemonettes, Mantic Dreadball Cheerleaders for Horrors, my Slaneesh Daemon Prince is a Nekima figure....and the the dogs (who are mostly Tzeentch, with a bit of Khorne) are in my gallery...

We're veering more towards P+M territory here, but feth it I'll share!

I'm still assembling the models (some on the way, some yet to order) but I plan to have a Wild Hunt themed Hound and Herald unit. Basically it will be 20 of these guys

But painted in suitably Khornate colours of course, accompanied by this fine gentleman

Who will count as a Herald mounted on a Juggernaut.

To tie this back into a tactics discussion, this is a fine and solid unit to incorporate into a list. Fast, resilient (esp if you use the Grimoire on them) and hard hitting.

He's from Mierce, an excellent source for counts as DPs, GDs and potential Heralds.

They're not cheap, but they're not ludicrously different from GW character sculpts either.

Make them twisted versions of the ideal of male beauty. Men aren't the only gender who can be seduced to the dark prince after all.
