I am pretty sure this has been asked before, but I could not find the post...
When you use Power of the machine spirit, you can fire one more weapon at your full BS than you are normally allowed. Does this mean that when you are moving at cruising speed, lets say with a Land Raider, you are not allowed to use POTMS because you cant fire with any weapon at your full BS, but snapshots?

I've played with someone who uses a landraider crusader, shoots both his hurricane bolters, then his assualt cannons at one unit, normal BS, then his multi melta add on and normal BS at a different unit...... ?? This can't be right?

Since you always are treated as being able to fire one weapon at normal BS more than usually allowed you can fire one weapon at full bs after moving at cruising speed.

FIring 0 weapons at full BS? PotMS lets you fire 1, as this is 1 more than 0
Crusader -they may be thinking of the old defensive / main weapons, where S4 weapons could be fired in addition to your allowance of other weapons

Yeah I remember reading about that some time ago, but normally you would fire, (land raider) 1 lascannon str 9, at one unit, but would be allowed to fire another lascannon at the same target or another using machine spirit, at a normal bs rate, but the twin linked heavy bolter, and/or melta gun would be required to fire as a snap shot? as there strength profiles are over 4? Is this right?

Only if it remained stationary. If it moved at Combat Speed, he could only fire 2 weapons at normal BS (one at a different target if he liked) and Snapfire the rest at one of those targets. And of course, declaring which weapon fires at what target is done before resolving and shots. Automatically Appended Next Post: mikeyboy69x wrote:nosferatu1001 wrote:

The S4 weapons being Defensive weapons bit was from last edition, it is gone in 6th.

Yes, I was trying to make that apparent but failed - in 4th and 5th edition you had a concept of main and defensive, and your limit was generaly how many "main" weapons you were allowed to fire.

as per the current rules if a landraider does not move it may fire all weapons at full ballistic skill and POTMS allows them to fire one weapon at a different target if they choose.
