FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
RAFM CALL OF CTHULHU 7th EDITION MINIATURES FUND RAISING TO BEGIN!
Brantford, ON – July 9, 2013 – Silver Fox Productions Inc. will launch their new fundraising program for RAFM Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition miniatures at this link www.indiegogo.com/projects/call-of-cthulhu-miniatures. The program will start on Thursday, July 11 and run until August 9, 2013.
RAFM Call of Cthulhu Miniatures line provides gamers with pieces to bring life to Chaosium’s classic roleplaying game of Lovecraftian horror, in which ordinary people are confronted by the terrifying and alien forces of the Cthulhu Mythos. Rafm Call of Cthulhu miniatures are had sculpted white metal miniatures which can be painted or used to represent characters and monsters duting game play. This bestselling line has won many game-industry awards and supports the Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition Chaosium Kickstarter.
This fund raising project aims to build a new edition of this classic horror miniature line and replace up to 85 miniatures in one project. Could you please pass this information along to your subscribers?
RAFM Company Inc, began producing rules and then miniatures for the gaming industry in 1979. RAFM Call of Cthulhu miniatures has probably been our most successful line. Envisioned and sculpted by Bob Murch for the Call of Cthulhu RPG by Chaosium Inc. the figures have transcended the industry and been reissued by many companies. None compare with the lasting tradition of the line. All miniatures are produced for Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu Role-playing Game and continue to be an official licensed product for the Call of Cthulhu Role-playing Game TM Seventh Edition
As of 3:52 CDT, the campaign is live.

Yeah, Indiegogo is like KS but with immediate payment and even less transparency/accountability than KS.
With Cthulhu Wars just finished, I don't know how interested I'd be in this anyway, even if it were on KS...

Odd timing... but there were 2 dungeon campaigns running at similar times, one huge and one not. And seemingly, the smaller one actually got some help from the big one (people buying accessories or the like).
It will be interesting if this gets anything like that... or if people are just all Cthulhu'ed out after the huge board game KS ended.

I'm delighted that RAFM is still around. I have used their ghouls for years in my undead armies for WH (and now KoW), and the bigger monsters as Chaos Spawn. I've reached (perhaps exceeded) my crowdfunding limits for the forseeable future, but I'll keep one eye on this project to see what happens.

Dont forget the terrible graphical layouts and nonsensical perks that never manage to find a sweet spot. Its like indiegogo campaigns intentionally try to suck.

Well, that's down to the individual creators rather than IGG itself. But yes, I agree the bar appears to be a bit lower on IGG.

Poor timing though considering how much Mr. Petersen has already pilfered from my coffers. I hope to see some serpent men at the very least. Maybe a Shantak or two as well.

A decent layout on Indiegogo? Easy to understand perk levels? I cant believe it. I really wish there was at least one green though.

Colour me disinterested.
$50 for 3 small monsters...IF they get funding, I start to get more...small...monsters.
Where's Cthulhu? Nyarlathotep? ANY large scale minis AT ALL?
And pay up front, no matter what?
No greens, or any indication of what the minis will look like?
Pfft...pass.
Not a huge fan of RAFM anyway...
These are the guys that launched this abomination onto the mini world:

Depends on the scale. I'm not seeing a real size here, Are they supposed to be on par with the USX scale, or the current CoC stuff?
I have a few of their old ones, these guys aren't 25mm. they are smaller. I have the old debutants blister and a freak looking monster, they fit in great with the Mansions of Madness. (They're a bit small.)

I'm pretty sure that the current (i.e. very very old) CoC minis are 25mm as the scale was defined when they were first produced. They match up well with Ral Partha and Grenadier minis from the same era.

I see what I did there. They ARE around 25. I mixed up the scale that I was reading. They are around 25/ 25 iffy. Based on how the figure is posed/ cast. I have a few zombies from the same line, they are even smaller then the heros.
I'm looking at the debutants, and they are a slight bit shorter then the Mansions of Madness hero's, but they will honestly fit right in.

Looks like the campaign has finished with a total of $17,098. While that's a decent amount for an IndieGogo campaign, its obvious that this would have fared much better on Kickstarter.
I wonder if RAFM are kicking themselves for not waiting a few months before launching, as Kickstarter recently announced that its services would be available for Canadian residents to start using September 9th.

Since they have all these ideas (that didn't unlock) there's nothing to stop them fulfilling the indiegogo then turning to KS to do continue the campaifgn
with experience of doing the mass shipment/fulfilment thing on a smaller scale, sculpts to show how the compare with the art etc, and as long as they do make new stuff too they can probably 'sell' the indiegogo sculpts as add ons too
