I was using Battlescribe last night and it was giving me an error when I tried to add a trukk to one of my boyz squad. The way I have it set up is one squad of 11 boyz and a nob in a trukk. 2 squads of 19boyz and a nob. And a nob squad of 9 nobs and the warboss. What I am trying to do is add a truck for the squad of 20 boyz that the nobz and boss will use. I understand they have to embark on the first turn and cannot start in the trukk, but my question is can a squad of more than 12 orks take a trukk to give to the nobz? Battlescribe is giving me an error and I have never really looked into if they could or not.
Any insight is appreciated

Check the codex. I believe Orks can't buy a trukk if the squad has more than 12 boyz.

If you open up your copy of the Ork codex to page 100 and read what it says under Transport in the Ork Boyz section you will understand why you are getting the error.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

Why not just buy the NOBs their own ride?

This is the answer you are looking for. You can't buy a trukk for a mob of boys over 12 anyway, but if you just want to put the Nobz/warboss in it just buy them one. The option is there in their options in Battlescribe, Plus then they can deploy in the trukk.
