Subject: Marker Light: Does Seeker benefit from Pin Point?

Was looking over the rules for Markerlights for a different thread when this question occured to me.
Pin Point is a bonus granted to all firing models. Seeker is a shot witha set ballistic skill value of 5 fired by the unit (not models).
Seems pretty straight forward that it cannot benefit from any Markerlights expended via Pinpoint, but I'm curious if there are any opposing views or interpretations.

Well even if you increased the unit to bs 10, it would still resolve at bs 5 no?

I recall pinpoint affecting the BS of the actual shots and not the models, no,,,? In any case it's still BS5 - you apply set values after any additions.

Not got my codex to hand (at work yay) but i believe the pinpoint affects the BS of the unit firing and as a seeker firing from a marker light is not being fired by the vehicle itself (cant remember which page it states that) then id guess at no without being able to read it.

A seeker is shot at a set balistic of 5 while used via a markerlight, therefor not netting any favors from "pinpoint" (not that he needs much, already BS5 and ignores cover)
HOWEVER, shooting the seeker in "blind fire", you use the shooter BS, so "pinpoint" DOES help it. so a skyray can, with 3 marker hits, increase his BS to 5, grant himself ignore cover, and fire all 6 missiles at BS5 and ignoring cover.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now. |

Assuming that I'm wrong on how pinpoint works... this sounds accurate. However, isn't there a limit to how many missiles can be fired per turn this way?
I may be thinking of the zooming flyers' 2 missiles a turn limit, which I realise doesn't apply.

i dont think there are (only the limit on how many markers and how many seekermissiles you actualy have)

No limit on how many the Skyray can fire (outside of normal vehicle limits)

To make it more obvious, Flyers are limited to 4 missiles per shooting phase. But only Flyers. Everyone else is free to fire as many missiles as they can.
