So after much debate and inner turmoil I have settled on a few figures I pretty much love with in the Protectorate. Call me what you will but these figures look awesome.

Dont know if its a theme but i was reading the forces of Menoth book and it just screamed Kill the heathens destroy the heretic Convert the masses. exterminate the rest.
Of course there are others with in the exemplar line these were the ones that made sense to field.

Let me know what you guys think I can not stress how badass I think these models look.

Also I'll be getting a ton more models when i trade my Warhammer army.

Warcaster: Grand Exemplar Kreoss or Kreoss2 or eKreoss.+6

WJ: crusader-0

Units: Examplar Errants(max)+ ua-10

Units: Examplar Bastions(max)-8

Solos: Exemplar Errant Seneschal(2x)-4

Solos: Knight Exemplar Seneschal-3

Yeah, that's doable. In fact, upping it to 35 you could add in two units of Knights Exemplar, and you'd have the Kreoss2 theme force (which gives a free Knights Exemplar Senechal).

The only thing I would change is to drop the second Errant Seneschal. One is great because of his Leadership ability with the Errants (he gives them Hunter), but he's not really worth 2pts by himself, so the second one is a little redundant. It would be better to use those two points to upgrade the Crusader to an 8pt jack of some description - Reckoner or Templar would be my picks, Vanquisher as a possibility.

I agree it's doable. At 35 I would run the tier list (I personally go to tier 4 with him). I run the tier with Fire of Salvation, 2xKE, max errants+UA, errant senny, regular senny (free) and max bastions, leaving 4 points of room for whatever.

Would the reckoner help with taking out heavy armor targets from far away? what do the knights exemplar bring to the table that the bastions can not do?

The only thing the knights exemplar bring to the table in this case would be numbers and the ability to get to the higher tiers of the Kreoss2 theme list (and advanced move when used in that theme list). If this is your first list, I'd suggest going something a little more generalized, but if you're sure you want to use Kreoss2 with one jack and a bunch of Exemplar models, the Theme force is the best way to run it. The only downside is needing the two units of Knights Exemplar, where you'll only want a max of one unit in any other list, so that's a decision you'd have to make. You don't have to run in the theme force, certainly, but 3 free point (the free Senechal) is hard to pass up

As for the Reckoner - it's advantages in a list without support is that it has the highest threat range of any jack (10"), and if it charges and it's with it's Flare, it'll get a boost to hit with the rest of it's attacks (which is great when you're missing the choir bonus, though not necessary on feat turn obviously). It's also great for sniping out the occasional annoying solo. The Templar, meanwhile, brings a really tough jack and the ability to beat back his way several inches through the enemy on feat turn with the extra attack and autohit. Both would work well in this list.

Not reallt interested in "theme" as much as i am the way the models look and hey it happens they are or bad so be it, I did check that that points of the knights vs points of the bations
for just 2 more points i can field 2 groups of knights with the Errants and ua and as as field the Templar wj, which leaves me with 3 points to spare, the question is should i grab a solo Like a paladin or Knight seneschal?

If you're going tier at 25 I would put a regular senny or errant senny+mechanik. If non tier I would put min choir+whatever filler you want for a point

What is a senny? is that the cinarators?

I'm not really going for a theme as much as I am going for looks. if it happens to be a theme cool, but really is all visual for me at this point in time. Did a little more reading. Also it never hurt to be a badass competitor as well. So I am digging the tips and i thank you for that ;D. I as far as starting an army i rather start with stuff i like then add in the other stuff later. The people who stated Warmachine is cheaper than Warhammer has misguided me. as it looks like for a bigger army 35-50 points looks like id be spending 500+ dollars with stores that give a discount.

A senny is an exemplar seneschal, what ever you do don't get the cinerators, one of the worst units for the points.

Played around a bit and I think I will be running around with something like this.

25 points gives me bodies and a beatstick and i think this is tier 2 so advance move for getting up the field faster.

I suppose Knights would take the lead and errants go on a flank while salvation and Kreoss hang back until the way it cleared and beat enemy warcaster face.

your going off of the tier 2 on e kreoss, and exemplar units become fa u, i dont know if this includes the ua or not, and max knight exemplar is 5, there is no 10. and i honestly think that the errant senschal is a wast of points, its a errant with assault and gives other errants hunter, i would prefer to give the errants assault but what ever..
