So, just set aside my newest model, the Ultraforge Greater War Daemon, who's gunna be a Bloodthirster/Skarbrand, and reached for my drink. I expected a refreshing sip of Newcastle ale, but instead I recoiled in horror with a mouthful of bitter paint water. In my distracted state I took a big swig from my brush-cleaning jar.

I can't have been the only person to make a this mistake. Please share yours, so I don't feel AS stupid

Never done it because my drinking glasses and paint water cup are completely different sizes and it would be impossible to mistake one for the other.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Never taken a swig of paintwater (I use old spraycan lids), but I've stuck my paintbrush in my cup of coffee a few times.

I haven't done that to 40k minis, but I almost did it in a grade school art class...

Damn, so far it seems I'm all alone here.

Maybe from now on I shouldn't paint, drink, and watch a movie all together. I'll keep it to two things at once

Depends, does your drink taste like paint thinner?

If so, buy better drinks

Nah, I try to avoid tequila. It makes me do stupid things.

Work like this and you won't make that mistake again.

I once managed to superglue a Farseer's head to my trousers and ended up walking round with it all day...

I was very happy once I discovered it though, I'd thought I'd lost it for good!

I've never done it either, because I generally move my paint water out of the way so that my drink is the only thing I can reach when eating at my desk.

Usually, though, as I'm left handed, I tend to put the paint water on the right hand side. So I CAN'T accidentally do anything with it. I have to put stuff down, get up and reach to get to it.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Once I ruined a Citadel Wash brush by dipping it water.... that I had just squirted superglue in. Shame, it was a great brush.
