Should I include a guad gun or icarus lascannon to a bastion? Which is better for infantry and which is better for armour?

1. Go to FLGS on a 40K game night.
2. Announce to no one in particular "I have over 10,000 points of Space Marines".
3. Sit back and watch as some 30-ish Neckbeard who still lives with his parents not only disputes your claim, but goes on to describe his 30,000 points of Blood Angels and how he has been playing since Rogue Trader days... And yet you will have never seen him either play 40K or that army.
4. From here, you have several options. Continue the conversation, or just end it. Either way, I guarantee you will waste 1+ hour of your life talking to this guy. Have fun!

Not sure why you would want to spend 35-50pts on a gun implacement if you arn't worried about flyers???

Quad gun is the most popular but I like the longer range and penetrating power of an icarus lascannon.

Depends if you face heavy fliers AV12 or light fliers. with a quad gun i can barely get a glace in against AV12.

The Icarus can be used as a deadly sniper tool. In the hands of illic or a vindicare, where all shots are precision shots AND you have a 2+ to hit, you can easily snipe out characters, special weapons, banners, and even flyers right out of the sky. In my opinion, if you don't have a BS5 or higher model to man the Icarus, don't take it. You need that shot to hit.
If you have a BS3 or 4 model, like a cultist or marine, quad gun. Twin linked with four shots is a very good weapon.

I agree with Filch.
Verdict:
BOTH have Skyfire, but they BOTH have Interceptor, which means they can properly shoot at ground enemies.
It depends what kind of army you have/strategy you like.
If you like staying behind your base line and shooting from there, choose Icarus Lascannon, with it's 96'' range.
Or, if you like going straight in, choose Quad-Gun.

SHINING SPEARS Shining Spears - Drastanta, Tempest of Starlight - Jousting, 40,000-years-in-the-future-from-now-done-by-aliens style.  Swooping Hawks - Baharroth, the Cry of the Wind - Flying people with Las weapons.  Howling Banshees - Jain Zar, the Storm of Silence - Not too bad, the masks that amplify the screams to deafening volume shaves it out of last place.
