Hi guys,

Just needing a small confirmation here about some rules points...

Here are the doubts:

- Low Profile: improves a Vehicle Coversave by 1 if the "front-toward-enemy" side of that vehicle is completely hidden.
- Holofield: improves a Vehicle Coversave by 1 if it has moved

Now... Say I'm "butt-plugging" one or two Vypers with holofields right behind a Wave serpent, completely hidding the (thin) front face of those Vypers.

They'll get 5+ cover because of the WaveSerpent, +1 for Low Profile +1 because they moved so basicaly a 3+ coversave instead of the standard 4+ Jink+Holofields Cover.

Is that correct ?

Thanks in advance to all of you

I assume this "Low Profile" rule is actually the rule under Obscured Targets about not being able to see the facing you are in. In which case yes, this works. 5+ for the Serpent, +1 for Obscured without being able to see the facing the shooter is in, +1 for Holo-fields assuming the Vyper moved for a 3+ save. Of course, if even the tiniest sliver of the facing the shooter is in is visible the Vyper will be back to a 4+.

Sorry about my bad translation of that rule from french to english but you guys got me right.

Actually, I did a few tests and it is in fact quite easy to hide the front of a vyper since it is quite thin. In my tests, I've hidden the front from the "mouth" of the Vyper (those two spikes it has, beneath which are the shuriken catapults) to top-most part of the pilot's cockpit window, assuming the rest of the fig (such as the shooter) is either side or rear part of the vehicle. Notice also that in that configuration of things, around 65/70% of the vehicle' length has been considered as "front".

Will try to put out a picture of a Vyper with the zone I've hidden...
