Just faced Jain Zar with Space Marines... ouch, I won, but challenges and the fact that I forced her into "cheap" combats for me (combat squads with a sarg, etc) tied her up with only 13 models killed (took away 6 banshees in the process).

But my question is, looking to future battles, what is the best options that marines have for killing Jain Zar?

She has 3 wounds only and no invulnerable.

Drop a template on her to clear out the banshees (heavy flamers? Vindicator/Whirlwind?) or just plain shoot her unit and her to bits. Lack of an assault vehicle means you should always get at least 1 turn of shooting.

Otherwise, the method you used (challenges with cheap squads to keep her occupied) is the way to go.

Yeah, I got some sternguard near her (3 combi-weapons at AP 1/2 and two meltas), but between her little throwing weapon and the nearby wave serpent, I just didn't have enough fire power in that area of the field (and rolled too many 1s/2s).

Need to lure her to my vindicator sooner (Swooping Hawks had already haywired that to pieces and a WraithKnight had my other heavy hitting units freaking out).

I think next time I'll drop her first, THEN whittle down the WraithKnight. My first time against the new Eldar dex... much stronger than it was before, for sure.

Honestly just wheeling around some dakka preds or a vindicator can eradicate her entire unit for you to shoot her to death.

Hammernators I would think should do the trick. The Bansheeswill just ping straight off them and with the storm shield, Jain herself won't fare much better. In return, while you can't smack her down in one, it should be easy enough to rack up enough Wounds to kill off her and the unit with impunity.

The problem is catching them. If someone is bold/crazy enough to use Banshees, they probably know whom to engage and when.

Very true. I see two ways of making it work. Taking a Land Raider would do it, but then that makes your counter just as expensive (actually, more so) than Jain's unit. So you'd need to make use of them elsewhere too to be worth it.
The other option is as a counter-attack unit in an otherwise static gunline list. This means sacrificing a unit first, and also runs the risk of still ending too far away if you don't keep your units close (who are then blast-fodder) or position them wrongly.

You didn't mention what unit she was with. The above discussion assumes Banshees, but you can now take PLs with other aspect units and I would not want to drag Banshees into any game, even with Jain Zar. If you catch her alone, how do you effectively kill Terminators? Just follow the same logic - treat her as 3 Terminators.

Good point, yeah, we're fluffy enough at our club that I'm pretty sure she'll usually be seen with other banshees. If it wasn't for her AP 2 ranged attacks, she'd be a lot easier to kill... and so freaking mobile, its like trying to force a bike into combat. I think packing plasma is going to be my preferred way. I often run a vindicator or two, but I can't see our Eldar player ever letting one get in range of her until late game (and Vindicators don't last, draw tons of attention, fast in our local meta).

The reason I'm so concerned it that we usually run double missions (roll for two, play them at the same time). So kill points comes up as often as not and she's usually grabbing 4-6 a game and I need to blunt that fast next time... I think my trick is either forcing her out early enough to put some heavy hitting drop pods on her, or having a "kill team" of units near center field, ready to deal with her when needed. Last game we had NightFight the first turn and I was going second, so the Wave Serpent with her was able to use LoS blocking terrain to great affect and got her around my left flank to some softer units.
