Voting for Space Marines. They probably don't need it the most, but as such a popular army, it makes sense from a profit stand point for GW to put out a 6th Ed codex for them. Then I'd guess Orks, Tyranids, Guard, and maybe Blood Angels/Grey Knights/Necrons. I'm afraid my Sisters will not get a proper codex any time soon, they're kind of a niche army and the lack of plastic troops of any sort shows GW's minimal support for them. And for the Black Termplars, my guess is a supplement book a la the Farsight Enclave or the Iyanden book to go with C:SM.

Are you sure that Templars Codex came out in 2005. I seem to remember fighting against in 2004 for sure. Heck, they are older than the old DeamonHunters Codex that preceeded Greyknights.

Boom! Leman Russ Commander
|
I believe Ive heard of space marines somewhere and theres some rumors for templars stuff looming around.
On topic with IG I would actually say I hope they come out with a new codex soon, why because Ive noticed that most of the codexs that are coming out are using a lot of fluff while maintaining a good competitive level and most units at least being playable.
For the IG most of our HQ/characters/upgrade characters are over costed or just not good at all.
Units like ratlings,Ogryns and rough riders are pretty bad and are never seen in games. Storm troopers are over costed for what they do as veterans are cheaper and can generally do a better job aside from suicide melta unit. Artillery variants are better than their russ counter parts and although russes are heavy LRBT's and demolishers could use a fix so they can use hull and sponsons effectively. I hate to say it but Vendetta would get a points hike but I would like to see the actual valkyrie get a weapon change or something so its a bit better. Penal legion and conscripts dont have many places in lists, conscripts are best when used with chenkov and made for holding a homefield objective. The banewolf could possibly use a 6'" torrent as only template range basically means it will die from assaults or melta if it even gets the chance to fire.
That seems like a rather bit that could be fixed lol but I will say other codexs need the update where guard can wait,,...but only a little bit lol

I'm not sure how true they are though...
When and where? I haven't seen hide nor hair of that rumor.
I can't find the link, but it was in the news and rumours section towards the beginning of the year, and predicted the release to be in late 2013-early 2014.
Like I said, I'm not sure how true this is, but a lot was post, and it did predict the new Tau and Eldar, including some of the new units...

I can see it now....Nids are now a collection of autonomous hive fleets there are multiple Hive Minds and they all war with one another in addition to everyone else. They speak to humans using telepathy, and they can now ally with Space Wolves as battle brothers, because reasons.
Tyranids talking to humans would be like you talking to your mashed potatoes or the probiotic in your kiefer drink. It is neither possible nor productive. Inside my mind I pinched my nipples and savored his bitter silence.

MWHistorian wrote:BT just need a good codex and maybe one or two more models. SOB need an entire OVERHAUL from scratch. Every figure needs to be replaced or at the least finecast and also there needs to be more units added. There aren't any choices really.
This is just a rough estimate, but an average Codex (calculated from an average of C: GK, C: SM and C: IG where I don't count the different Ordnance battery options or Leman Russ tanks as separate options) has 42.333... unit choices. Codex: Black Templars has 22 (23 if you count the different turret options on Predators as different units) units. So yeah, tell me all about how BT need "one or two more models".
Templars arguably need a new Codex on a compeetive rules-basis more than Sisters of Battle. The obvious shortcomings of the Sisters of Battle models and Codex also outweigh the BT need, though. not because the rules are worse competetively speaking, because they aren't.

Sure Space Wolves Land Raider Pilot

When I was looking for a space marine army to start my final choices were wolves and templars, because of the fluff/units/playstyle.
I chose wolves mainly because they had a newer codex, the age of the black templar codex put me off.
WHEN the new codex comes out i might have another look at them

Sisters of battle are called SOB for a reason, thats what the players do when you mention their lack of codex, and I assume thats how it will stay.
I belive SM will be next, its their big posterboys after all and they havent released enough imperial codexes yet.
BT getting their own codex in the past was just a mistake, its the only second founding chapter with a codex.
I think they will just be included in the new SM codex as a way to unlock other chapters with either special characters, doctrins or some other fancy way.
After that I really think the Orks will come before Nids. Both really need a new codex, but so does alot of armies. Orks are old and have a very unupdated codex, it was written for the 4th edition.
It is still good in some ways and still very fun to play. The nids on the other hand had their codex in the 5th edition. From the begining it was concidered a weak compared to the codexes surrounding it.
My guess:
SM (including BT)
Orks
Nids
(IG SW BA DE)

We don't lack a codex, the codex we have is simply difficult to obtain (the actual WDs, anyway). There's a difference
Also, Jervis Johnson recently said that all codexes are being worked on, and that all will receive updates in time.
