So. Many years ago I collected a dark angel army got it all painted etc. and decided to sell it. not sure why in hindsight but anyway that's not the point.
I have recently acquired some dark angel stuff for free 2 dark vengeance sets minus the bikes and have a fully customised commander all magnetised.
I've made some conversions and bought some bits.
The only problem... I don't know if want to go through it all again for Dark Angels.
Part of me is contemplating selling them and buying Tau because I've really liked the models and fluff for a long time (rather than wanting to band wagon).

The question I would like advice on from Dakka is:
Do I sell the Dark Angels or do I keep them irrespective?

What would you do?

I think only you can answer that. However, it seems you've already made up your mind, with regards to the Tau.

An Armour Save? No, never heard of it. Me? I play Imperial Guard.

I had a similar situation, wherein DA were my first army when I started playing. I picked up a couple DV boxes and I've built an army from there, but it's been so long there's not really any deja vu. However, I didn't sell my old stuff, I just wanted to paint DA up to a better standard.

Personally, I don't like selling off armies. You'll usually come back to them, and you'll never get what you paid for them. If you haven't painted them up or gotten attached to Dark Angels, then more power to you, but I feel once you start putting paint to plastic, it's all over.

Hold onto them, things are always changing, and theres nothing worse then regretting selling off an army that you put your time and effort into. Always like a year down the road im super pissed at myself, and you'll never get the value back at all.

The only question here is if you want to play dark angels or not. There's no point selling minis for an army you want, and there's no point in having minis for an army you don't.

I keep every army or thing I get unless its in trade. So trade would be okay if you're just not feeling it.

Personally, I love Ravenwing bike armies. I haven't played one but I have played against them and once again am forced to admit that they are a mean combination of firepower, fortitude and speed
