Just watched the movie Kick-Ass, and felt compelled to make this unit for the Imperial Guard. If anyone has any interesting ideas for movie character rules I would love to hear em'.

Kick-Ass 5 Points

Kick-Ass.....WS2 BS2 S2 T2 W1 I2 A1 Ld5
Hit Girl........WS5 BS5 S2 T2 W1 I5 A3 Ld9
Big Daddy.. WS5 BS6 S3 T3 W2 I5 A3 Ld10

Special Rules
Feel no Pain (6+) (Kick-Ass)
Stubborn (Hit Girl and Big Daddy)
Stealth (Hit Girl and Big Daddy)
They're Right Behind You!: See Gaurdsman Marbo's special rule 'He's Right Behind You'. They all must deploy within 6" of each other.
Loose Unit: Kick-Ass and each member of his unit are treated as seperate independent characters after entering the battlefield. This does not mean, however, that they may join other units. To count the unit as slain, all characters must be killed.
Saviour: When an enemy unit declares a charge against Hit Girl, Big Daddy (if alive on the board) can and must fire overwatch against the charging unit. This particular overwatch shot fires at Big Daddy's regular ballistic skill.

Wargear
2 Hand Weapons (Kick-Ass)
Assault Grenades (Hit Girl and Big Daddy)
Defensive Grenades (Hit Girl and Big Daddy)
Haywire Grenades (Hit Girl and Big Daddy)
Flash Grenades (Hit Girl and Big Daddy)
Bolt Pistol (Hit Girl and Big Daddy)
Bolter (Big Daddy)
Sniper Rifle (Big Daddy)
Blades (Hit Girl)

Flash Grenades
Range 8"
Strength -
AP -
Special Rules Blind

Blades
Range -
Strength As User
AP 5
Special Rules Counter-Attack

Upgrades:
Add Hit Girl...........................................20 points
Add Big Daddy.....................................25 points
Equip Kick-Ass with 'The Jetpack'........25 points

'The Jetpack': 'The Jetpack' turns Kick-Ass's Unit Type to Jetpack Infantry and arms him with Twin-Linked Heavy Bolters

HitGirl is good, but not that good. WS 2, BS2 at most, S2 T2 at most... she's a 12 year old girl.

Big Daddy is also not better than a Space Marine. WS3, BS3, S3, T3 at most. He's, at best, an above-average IG soldier, but still woefully human.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

That gives me an idea...though I always get the points costs wrong for this sort of thing.

BATMAN - 150 POINTS

WS5 BS4 S3 T3 I5 A3 W3 Ld10 Sv4+

Infantry (Independent Character) - can be bought for any detachment, counts as an HQ choice that does not take up a slot. May not be your Warlord.

Wargear
Two close combat weapons
Batarangs: S2, Assault 3, Concussive
Special rules
Adamantium Will, Fear, Fearless, Feel No Pain, Fleet, Hit and Run, Infiltrate, Stealth

Martial artist: Batman gains 1 extra attack for each enemy model in base contact at the beginning of the Assault Phase.
Time to plan: After deployment, you may remove Batman from the table and immediately redeploy him (he is able to attach to a different unit using this ability, but this must be from the same detachment that Batman was bought for)
Detective: Batman is always a scoring unit. In addition, in any mission that uses Mysterious Objectives, as long as Batman is on the table you may re-roll the dice to determine what each Mysterious Objective contains. This only applies to objectives you uncover, not your opponent.

Driven away from WH40K by rules bloat and the expense of keeping up, now interested in smaller model count games and anything with nifty mechanics.

Faster than a Speeding Bullet qualifies as light speed? I prefer retro superman myself. (Yes, I realize that in modern canon he's blah blah blah but I'm talking wayback superman when he just jumped really far instead of flying.)

Original superman? That was Pre-Crysis Superman and he could move solar systems and move so fast he could rewind time (yes that makes no sense lol). He later got nerfed when DC toned down all their heroes (known now as Post Crysis)

That's funny because he's probably going to fit best in an ork army as well in this universe.

Or he's going to be fighting alongside Khorne...who is peeing his pants hoping not to make this new guy angry.

"Hacking Genius, Egomaniac" - Boris may make a leadership test instead of using a weapon. If he succeeds, he reduces the WS, BS, Leadership, Armor, Invulnerable Save, and Vehicle Armor of a single enemy unit by half - rounded down - while becoming leadership 10 and fearless until he fails a leadership test. If he does, his leadership reverts back to 4.

"Shameful Coward" - Boris cannot contest, nor can he claim an objective even while attached to a unit. If he is falling back, he runs 4D6 and may not regroup under any circumstance.
