Depends on the type of cast you're after. What I like, the next person may not like. I listen to 6s2hit, deepstrike, overlords and noobhammer.

I dig the Imperial Vox Cast (though it has hit a rough patch since 6th dropped) and Independent Characters, myself. Screaming Heretic is ok sometimes, but when the girls start talking amongst themselves, it's unbearable. The 11th Company is also good, but their episodes are really long.

I'd steer clear of 40k radio( unless you like listening to the staff of battlefoam bicker like children), and Life after the cover save (a podcast about making body fluid jokes that claims to play 40k.)

I second avoiding 40k Radio. I remember going out of my way to listen to the old crew live on Ustream I believe it was. The new guys(Battlefoam) get on my nerves after about 15 minutes.

Hey guys. I'm looking for a 40k podcast which focusses mainly on fluff or lore etc. Any suggestions? I currently only listen to Deepstrike Radio

I'm right there with ya about the 40k radio battlefoam guys. Loved the old cast can't stand the new. I hate to admit it but listening to them is the reason I can't bring myself to get one of their bags.

And I'm easy if its entertaining I'll listen to it.

The overlords is my favorite i guess. Followed by the independent characters. Then 40k radio but they've been meh, recently. Deep strike is ok as is imperialvox cast depending on what you are looking for. There are others but they suffer from audio problems or too much crude humor or annoying voices: 40;global, hitting on threes, 11th company.

For a while I loved the one from Texas, can't think if the name right now, but since their break this winter it had Been tough to get through with all the... uhms.

The Independent Characters is the only one I listen to. I've tried listening to other ones, and it either devolves into people trying to one up each other by being bigger "personalities" than the guy next to them, or it's really dry. The Independent Characters is very professional sounding, the guys clearly have a love for the game and the hobby, and they make you feel like you're part of their group. Also, they're super swell guys. Check em out:

I get a kick out of 40k Radio and the Independent Characters, I find they have a nice balance, usually, between battle reports, hobby progress, news/rumours, literature discussion, and they're all entertaining to listen to. I've also been listening to the Big Mek podcast and it's a pretty decent show too.

I've enjoyed listening to the "Independent Characters" podcast so far, though I should probably expand my horizons soon starting with "Life After the Cover Save".

More or less in that order, but they're all coming at the hobby from different angles. ICs way in front, then the rest are basically tied (happy 100 Carl!).

If you enjoy 40k fluff you must listen to "After Ullanor". Make sure you start at the very beginning though.

I will say it's been a little frustrating this week. Everyone's gone dark waiting for 7th to drop.

I only listen to 40k Radio and The Independent Characters for different reasons.

The Independent Characters coverage of the Imperial Armor Books and the Horus Heresy Forge World Books are the only episodes that I've found enjoyable with multiple listens. 40k Radio is the only "Funny" 40k podcast that is actually humorous.

http://theindependentcharacters.com/blog/ and http://www.40kradio.com/

Best of luck!

I like:

Jaded Gamercast: More of a general gaming cast, but they still do a lot of GW coverage.

HittingOn3s: This is my immature podcast that I listen to. Sometimes I want fart and dick jokes with my 40k.

11th Company

This is the one from Texas. Chumby's on it, and I like it for the entertainment, along with the discussion.
