Subject: Painting Eldar - Aspect Warriors and Craftworld color match?

Hello Everyone,
So I recently took the dive and purchased some Eldar models and I was attempting to decide on a paintscheme. From a fluff perspective, do the Aspect Warriors have to match the Craftworld I choose to paint everything else?
Thanks all!

Fluff-wise, nope, not at all. Each Aspect has it's own colors, and they are common for that aspect across all craftworlds. A sash or other cloth wrap might retain the craftworld colors, but the aspects are kind of their own thing. The codex mentions that the time attending a shrine is the only time the warriors of Saim Hann put aside their loyalty to their clan, so I'd say that's a pretty good argument fluff-wise for them to stick to the traditional Aspect colors.
Model-wise, you can paint them however you want, and let anyone who wants to complain about fluff go pound sand. I like the official color schemes for the aspects, so mine are pretty close to the standard schemes.

From the latest codex and the Iyanden supplement it has really shown that while they retain a main color (Fire Dragons will be orange, Scorpions will be Green) each different shrine on a craft world will change secondary items like helmets and weapons to their own personal shrine color.
In my Iyanden list each Aspect contains something yellow to really tie it into the overall yellow scheme while retaining their main aspect color.

No. There are no set colours for aspect warriors and no dictation as to what those colours are. They change every single time they release a new codex because GW just go to their local player base and look at the models and go - ooh, i like that. Then photos ensue and they plaster it into their books.
The new eldar codex and chaos daemon codexes have several entries which have just had 90% of their background changed or opened up to be more in line with that the players do with the models. So no, go nuts. GW do not care about fluff, so why should the gamers. Look at the the soul grinder, the fluff in the previous codex said that the daemons competed to be put in them and get the benefit of a shell they could use to emter the real world... the new one says they are tricked and trapped into them. GW cannot make up their mind.
Pick an aspect, search for images of it online and go with a scheme you like or make up your own. Enjoy the hobby. After all, that is the point of it

If you wanna get ticky, yes the Aspects do in fact have an aspect color fluff wise. Also they really haven't changed colors or models (bleh) since second or third edition. It's really just the same as founding chapters of space marines and their differing company colors. That being said its just a game and you can do whatever you want with it. A friend of mine has a pretty sick looking pink Tyranid army, so really any color can be done without having to justify it and can look great.
I think he just wanted to know what the fluff was going on with the aspects color wise.

I've personally tried to meld the colors of the aspects with Ulthwe, my chosen craftworld. I have some swooping hawks in my gallery you can check out.
