talking about warhammer, by now we play and collect those armies:
Beastmen, Daemons of Chaos,Dark Elves,Dwarfs,High Elves,Lizardmen,Ogre Kingdoms,Orcs & Goblins,Skaven, The Empire, Tomb Kings,Vampire Counts and Warriors of Chaos
We started to collect 40k stuff recently, but we are still trying to learn the rules...

Enough talking. Here there are a coupple of our first works. I hope you like them, others will follow soon...

A painting definitely fast for the new arrival of my Crimson Slaughter contingent.
It was a pain in the ass... Soon new and more detailed picture of the Forgefiend's little flying brother.

That Forgefiend is hands down the best I have ever seen! The painting and pose brings the whole model to life, and the helldrake looks amazing too. You should be very, very proud!

Indeed I am I love all my little monsters
You touched a very interesting matter. I've noticed that people judge often a mini only by the painting job. Kit bashing and green stuff are quite important too.
Lately I'm working a lot on customizing minis (in particular space marines) focusing on their poses. I want to create something that suggest dinamism and majesty, not a bunch of toy soldiers.

Now let me introduce "Barellone": a work made by my dear friend and team mate Steve.
It's the Khorne deamon prince that we use as bloodthirst when we play deamons. It's the FW model customized with dragon wings.

i'm sorry for the bad quality of the pics, we're working on it

Here we go with some skaven scraps.
The blue one was one of our very first productions by Steve: it was the musician for a group of 120 rats we got to paint to start to play. So it was full of inexperience. Rage painting: It's flat, got few colors and some imprecisions.
The red one was one of my last scraps. I took the black armour idea, from Steve's original. and I tested a more clear skin tone.
Pics really sucks I can't even see the red of te eyes... too much flashhhh :(

The FW daemon looks very well made, and yes. You are correct, a good pose for such large units/models counts too, the piant may be stellar but if the pose is dull it all falls apart. But you have once more managed to make me drool. As for the Skaven....Well they look nice and all but I just cant get myself to liking Skaven, but very welll done!

I personally think kit bashing and green stuffing is separate and, while it takes a lot of skill, its okay for a skilled painter to bypass it entirely. Case in point, you're clearly a great painter but those wings on your forgeworld daemon Prince just don't look like they belong.

Thanks a lot for the feedback and suggestions, really appreciate when someone take in consideration my stuff.
Now about that FW daemon prince, we use him as a greater one, so we decided to put some wings on him. We thought that a coupple of years ago that dragon wings would be a good solution and it was our very first attempt with gs. Maybe the manticore's one would fit better ?! i don't know, what would be a better solution in your opinion ? And talking about gs and stuff that don't fit well I'd like to have a comment on the Nurgle prince i did (I'm still working on) here.

Talking back to uncoventional color palette, there is a sorceres i did. It's a 2 hr work, tabletop quality and the base is so so, but I like a lot the 80's hair style.
Enjoy

Good looking stuff man, I especially like your Deathwatch squads, as I'm painting some Deathwatch up myself at current as a breather for working on some I.G. Leman Russes (two down, 3 to go..)

Keep sharing! I'd love to see more of your Deathwatch stuff when you get it finished.

Take it easy.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

The Dark Angel has bags of character, I love the use of the incinerator looks absolutely amazing really good substitute for a flamer. oh and I think he is brilliantly painted.

Your painting has definitely improved as you have gone the Vampire is really good and the use of blood and gore really adds to the model, I am not a fan usually of that sort of thing but I think you nailed it there
