Hey guy and gals,
New to the forum as a member. I've popped in before for news and paint ideas, but never joined. I just recently moved from my gaming group and decided to use this fantastic resource for hopefully finding a new one! My closest shop that I know of is 45 miles, so yeah... I'm in the High Desert, CA area and you might have noticed a bump on a 4 month old post talking about the same!  Anyways, been playing 40k since the end of 3rd edition as a devoted XVIII Legion Marine. I've been from pick up games to national tourneys. I'm old enough now to enjoy the game on a social level and just like playing for the sake of blowing each other up. I've also played seriously as a Necron player when they launched and had Tau, Dark Eldar, Armored Company and Nids.
I just recently got out of Fantasy because my group decided too, but I enjoyed it as much as 40k. Had Tomb Kings and sold them off as a reason to buy a new army if I found a new group down here. Played almost all the others too, BFG and Blood Bowl mainly! Anywho... glad to be here and it seems like a great place!

Welcome to Dakka Dakka! I was stationed in 29 Stumps for a while and there was a game store right off of Del Valle road, is that not there any more?

It might be, but I'm around Hesperia/Victorville. So that's a bit of a drive. Closest place I can find is Riverside.
