Hey everyone! Names Pain, and on this page I plan on posting the development of my Space Marine/Blood Angel army, and random things I paint in between for fun. I always appreciate comments and critisism, what you gotta say about the models, just say it! Please and thank you!
So without further adieu, here is a random model!

If you don't recognize this pale faced masichist, he is the Games Workshop, Lucius the Eternal! This was my very first time painting NMM a long while back now, at this time, I had no paints for the gold, so I did metallic(obviously haha). The parts I feel I did great on are the flesh areas on the armour, and chems on his backpack.

Tell me what you guys and gals think of him

Sorry for pic quality, I don't know how to make light boxes or whatever they're called.
Thanks for reading everyone

Looks great. I agree with you the standout parts are the flesh on the armour and the chem vials but I really like the silver NMM too. I have this model primed and waiting for me so I'll be using yours for inspiration. Thanks for sharing

"You are like a son and together we have all but conquered the galaxy. Now the time has come for me to retire to Terra. My work as a soldier is done and now passes to you for I have great tasks to perform in my earthly sanctum. I name you Warmaster and from this day forth all of my armies and generals shall take orders from you as if the words came from mine own mouth. But words of caution I have for you for your brother Primarchs are strong of will, of thought and of action.

Why thank you tyrannosaurus, Demigod, and Brokksamson. Glad I could be of some inspiration to someone haha I was planning on doing a 100% Slaanesh chaos marines army not to long ago, but I put it on hold for my love of Spehs Mahreens!

A little update, I'm on the brink of finishing my Devestator squad. A little fun fact, this squad took out exactly 2 flyers and 64 guardsmen in one battle, because of this, they are deined, Human Bane.

I hope you are all ready for MASTER WORK PURITY SEALS!!!!!!!!

Ok well, change of plans, I'm getting ready to move to the U.S. now, so I have all my Warhammer packed away now
But I still got a bunch of Reaper models available to me. This first model I'm gonna show you is NOT finished, and the the pictures are TERRIBLE, but I'm so satisfied with the cloth that I want to post it. So please C&C is much appreciated, and expect a full model update soon. Let me know what you guys think.

Hey Dakka, I've been bustin' my bawls with this painting here, so I figured I would give a quick update! I chose Salamanders for my Space Marines army, if that wasn't obvious. Instead of the bright green though, I went for a darker, almost earthy green on the armour. For the base, I HAD to do lave bases, absolutely had to Come on, they're Salamanders right! This is just one of the tact. marines for now, I wanna wait and dump a load of photos when I'm done a unit or two. So please, enjoy this one guy.

I'm very happy with the outcome of the freehand pads

Please, comments, and constructive critisism is much appreciated, thank you. And sorry for the dark photos -_-

Nice freehand

Maybe something to make his eyes pop more? The green just blends in with everything else

I see what you mean, I tried making the eyes match what was done in the codex, with what I have available to me. I'll see what I can do, any suggestions? Maybe more yellow....

Bloody hell, well it's been a month or two, and I keep saying I'm gonna update this more often, but I never do >.>
Reason being, I hate the outlining portion of painting, but hopefully this new technique I learned(from Buypainted), things will be faster, and updated more often.

Well, on to the mini
I've had Vulkan He'stan for a little while now, I had originally painted him almost to completion, but then I got super annoyed at my inexperience with the airbrush, whilst doing his spear, and I just didn't touch anything for a month or two. But I finished him now, and here he is.
Things I like;
The shaft of the spear, it looks just overall pleasing.
The cloak flames, I feel I did a good job on that, and the scales too.
The backpack fire, I just, REALLY like the flames on that part, they look so, natural, I guess.

Things that need improvement;
I like the crystal, I think I'll use that throughout the army. But it needs less white, and more colour on the lower half of the crystal.

So please, tell me what you think, comments and criticism are much appreciated.

Cheers all!

Vulkan is awesome. Flames look great, crystals look great, cloak is great.

He's a very cluttered sculpt, but there's very little for a painter to do to help that. I think I wouldn't have added the basing details, because that only makes the problem worse, but that's a personal preference.

Wow, crikey. That Vulkan He'Stan is fantastic, too bad his model doesn't make any sense though. The crystal, the cape, it's all absolutely amazing. Well done. However, the cardboard on the base needs to be cut circularly...

Why doesn't Vulkan's model make any sense? Not nitpicking, just curious.

Flames travelling to the left, cape going to the right and the tacked on flamer is not nice..

Thanks mates, now that you point it out though, the model doesn't really make sense :/ Still, he was overall fun to paint(except that spear tip), and was a first for a few things for me.

A quick update, I'm painting up the DV tact marines, with a converted sergeant. And, after I saw someone mention it on Facebook, I'm also painting up a plaid patched ork warboss Stay tuned.

Gah, the "Vulkan model doesn't make sense" stuff drives me crazy. The sculpt makes total sense. He has just taken a push step forward to gather momentum for throwing the spear. The cape has shifted forward, the flames would still be blowing backwards because they don't have any weight.

The cape would be going the same way as the flames if he's pushing forward, considering he'd have to run to gain the momentum to make the push to throw the spear. Also if he's taking a push step why is he completely flat-footed?

Personally I like doing Salamander eyes the same color as I do the flames. Dark red base, then in the parts where it'd glint, go orange and finish with a tad of yellow.

Your guys here are pretty great, by the way. I really like Lucius.

Thanks SRSFACE, I appreciate it, although, I already went with a sort of yellow gold colour, that actually looks quite nice haha

Now now guys, let us not debate whether the model makes sense, it still is a great piece right? Right. At least he doesn't look like some other, Daemon models, that I shouldn't need to mention haha
