So I'm not talking about regular use, or lifestyle usage here. I think the term "recreational" has been largely abused by those who use their preferred drugs regularly.
What are your thoughts on the purely recreational drugs like hallucinogens and "party" drugs like MDMA(ecstacy)?
Would you try them?
Have you tried them?
Would you do them again?
I don't really care for any political debate over their legality, as that is by and large a waste of breath for us here on this forum.
I've only ever tried a single drug(rather recently, MDMA) and I feel that irregular use can be therapeutic for those who may generally feel a bit down. I don't see it as a fix for depression by any stretch of the imagination, as I understand the after effects include depression(which for someone who is already depressed could certainly be an issue if they are left alone while coming down). But I certainly see some benefit to it's use every long now and then to just clear your mind of the every day stress and to feel generally good, if only for a few hours.
Like the saying goes, all things in moderation. Other drugs are certainly on my bucket list, but most of those (like LSD) I wouldn't try until I'm retired and have no major responsibilities left to look after.
I'm sure, like with ALL vices, that there are horror stories out there, and certainly if you've had a negative experience let's hear it(without getting too dark and depressing).
So what are your thoughts? Experiences?

Would you try them?
Probably not, I don't exactly hang around with anyone who uses them so the chances of being introduced to them are pretty low given that I'm not very curious about trying them, so there's no reason to seek them out either.
Have you tried them?
Nope.

The real problem with drugs is, once you are old enough to do them responsibly, you are too old to be doing drugs.

Well said, sadly. Truly youth is wasted on the young.
