Because the BRB is more specific, and thus wins out
PF gives you an additional attack, generally
SA states you NEVER get an additional attack, specifically

That's what I said in my previous post, nos, I was just looking for an example to illustrate the case to others Sigvatr wrote: This rule is only valid in the case of conflicting rules. Predatory Fighter is a global special rule, that does not specifially adresses supporting attacks. Supporting attacks is a more specific rule and therefore, both rules do not conflict.

because the army book isn't addressing it. If your dead you don't get supporting attacks either.this doesn't override that. Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh read ogres fist that shows they get a mounted parry as
Save. Or chaos wiz wearing armor.

Don't follow your point... are you arguing pro or anti bonus attacks?

Already said they don't.contrast with my post on kroak losing concentration. He has a rule that bumps into losing concentration. But predatory fighter works f fine with no supporting. Just first rank would get it and both rules would be intact. If kroak loses con and has 6 dice left his rule of being able to cast as many times as he has dice isn't true.

I think GW probably intended for it to work with extra ranks, but I agree that RAW - Predatory Fighter does not come into play for units making supporting attacks.
The rule book is damn clear - 1 attack, regardless of special rules, etc.

Do you roll the two groups separately then? Otherwise you don't know which are the front rank and which are the second rank.

Yes, as you can only fast roll (roll together) where this doesnt cause rule issues. This would cause rule issues, so divide into two groups, etc
