If you are only using the Earthshaker version, look for the Siege Regiment PDF, there's the latest rules for it and its free (just replace the Kriegsmen crew with regular IG ones)

Otherwise look for IA12, since there are a few differences for the other cannons, iirc.

Just remember to let your opponent know that The 75 point gun emplacement is not OP, but rather easy to deal with.

PS: keep the rules with you all times. either a PDF print out or a IA edition remember to get one of them.

It's vulnerable to the same things as a comparable artilery tank, but easier wounded, can fail morale tests, can be affected by ID, etc...

It also has 8 wounds by default, and can have up to 12 for a single carriage, or up to 36 when squadroned. It also is not vulnerable to the same weapons, as things like lascannons will only maybe take off a single wound instead of causing a detonation with one shot.

The community is a great place to come for tactics advice, and there is a lot of very sound opinions and idea out there, but at the end of the day, play the game how you want to... Well you aint T7 in close combat, so any unit that can deepstrike and charge the same turn pretty much nails your team.
Else.. a double six shock attack gun for Everything beneath a large blast template removed from play
Hit it with enough dakka and you'll be sure to kill it.

On moon miranda.

Keep in mind it's still Ld7 (so you can force them to run), if you get into combat you're only facing T3 5+sv guardsmen, and they can't move. They're really hard to deal with if your plan is to throw lascannons at them until they're dead from across the board behind an aegis line. Get just about anything into CC with them and they're no longer useful, and anything poisioned, wound on X value, etc or attacking Leadership should work very well against them. The new Eldar really tear units like this apart.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Those things are grossly OP. Taking one or two would be fine but if you spam them then you could have problems getting people to play you in your local scene.

If you're building an army around a theme rather than powergaming then you should be alright. It's when people show up with 9 of them, plus a cluster of Ld9 stubborn blobs behind Aegises, plus 3 or 4 vendettas, that people call cheese.
