Infiltrating Broodlord

I have been looking into the new codex and saw that warlocks have the power to heal monsterous creatures by 1 Hit.
Would a list of eldar MC's work out with warlock support? with the powers of warlocks being so random I dont know how it would work out and with warlocks not being able to join squads anymore (except for Gurdians, Stormguardians, and windriders) is it a viable list? Wraithlord, wraithlord, Avatar of Khaine. I feel like a list built like that could get annoying fast but the randomness of warlock powers is making me hesitate to build it.
Any Opinions?

probally be better with spirit sears, they are indepenfdent characters and can join a squad so would probally be better, but ya depending on your deffeintion it should work.

Can farseers use the warlock powers table? I have 3 farseers available (although i can only use 2 due to the FOC)
Totally missed that Spirit seer part. But the question still stands. Can spirit seers use warlock powers? Automatically Appended Next Post: Just went through my codex and you are right about the spiritseer. They can use the same chart as warlocks and have 2 wounds instead of 1 with a higher leadership score. And being that they are IC's i can attach them to any squad I choose.
Even better is if I run the Iyanden Codex i can have 3 as a single HQ choice. with the potential of 6 Mastery level 2 Psychers on the field with a better leadership then warlocks that i can stick into units of wraithguard or other units that can benefit from a psycher. I never noticed that Thanks for pointing it out!

Spiritseers get two rolls on Runes of Battle and if you go Iyanden you could take up to 5 as a single HQ.
Unfortunately Farseers do not get access to Runes of Battle.
I'm looking at the Avatar, 3 Wraithknights, and two Spirit Seers in 1850.

theres no way those 6 units add up to 1850 by themselves. Thats with troops right? Guardians or die avengers or windriders of some sort? Maybe even a few troops of wraithguard for objective holding?

No, those are just the MCs.
List looks like....
1850pts
Spiritseer +Wriathstone +SpearofTethuas
Spiritseer
Avatar of Khain +Nightvision +Fastshot +CrushingBlow
Wraithguard x5
Wraithguard x5
Wraithguard x5
Wraithblades x5
Wraithknight
Wraithknight
Wraithknight
Aegis Defense Line +IcarusLascannon
1850pts
25 T6 Wounds, 18 T8 Wounds
Avatar is there to Fastshot the Icarus T1, Aegis is deployed forward with an objective near, Avatar then can Intercept T2 before moving forward, running, and Fastshotting his own weapon. Objective holders move and man the Icarus late game.
Wraithguard are there to be resilient and claim objectives, Wriathknights and Avatar are there to contest Objectives in the enemy deployment zone and generally run amok.
Trying to be a competitive with Pure Wraith plus Avatar as I can. Have the 1k version of the list done

Aegis Defense Line, its a fortification in the BRB pg 114. Any army can purchase fortifications for points, for instance an ADL with Icarus Lascannon is 85 Points, and one with a Quad Gun(4 TL S7) is 100 Points. They have Interceptor and Skyfire. The defense line also confers a 4+ cover save, 2+ if you go to ground behind it. The gun itself is T7 with two wounds and requires someone to man it.
Its a very popular AA option for many armies. I am using for the synergy with the Avatar's fastshot turn 1 as well as being the only AA I can get that doesn't require me to field non Wraith non MC units.
Edit: There is a model you can buy for the ADL http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod20006a. Only comes with a Quadgun. There is also one in the Bastion boxes. I'm using a cusom Eldar one that can be found on Ebay so it'll look pretty. Also fielding the forgeworld avatar for looks.

Hmmmm... ill have to check that out. I deffinately have been looking at the avatar recently due to all the ability choices he has now. Fast shot was a sure fire ability i picked and i took crushing blow but i left out nightvision as I didnt see it as a requirement really. although if there is some sort of darkness going on in turn one then it might come in handy with that lascannon, as it has much longer range then 12".
Ill look about getting me an ADL and cannon sometime.

The Avatar with Fast Shot and Night Vision on the Icarus is nice as he hits on a 2+ with a 2+ reroll due to BS10 with 2 shots. Night Vision ignores Night Fight which occurs in 50% on turn 1.Overall I like the list but I am doubtful I will ever buy 3 Wraithknights. One was cool. Two would be interesting. Three....not so sure about.
Cool list though.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby. |

Yes. Farseers can't take warlock powers :(
I'm using a custom aigus line I made myself for me elves, And it works. A little small, but whatevs.
I run my avatar with fast shot, and disarming strike. But I can see using him as a Gun line avatar, night vision would be nice.

As a small point I would take just one Guardian squad to protect the Avatar shooting the lascannon.

How would they protect the Avatar? He has 4+ Cover behind the Aegis.

Just a body shield really. Avatars go down much much quicker than you think.

I reiterate, how? The Avatar is not an IC, so the best that they could do is offer a 5+ cover save....which he already has a better 4+ cover save from the Aegis and a 5++.
The whole point is target saturation. There is alot of T6 on the table and alot of scary T8. The opponent is forced to prioritize, and ironically the Avatar is one of the toughest on the table with his 5++. If they are firing the nasty stuff at him that breaks his 3+ AS and wounds him easily its a shot that didn't almost hurt a Wraithknight and that is where the real scary comes from.
If the Avatar in that list merely gets shot and makes it to Intercept T2 he did his job. After Flyers hit the board the Avatar needs to be pressing the Advance with the Wriathknights.
And with Iyanden he is the Warlord with a really nice Traits table... d3 rerolls, 12" FNP6+ Bubble, Reroll Failed Saves till failed. Those are the good defensive ones, he also could get Hatred, Spirit Mark, or Deny the Witch +1, nothing really useless.
