So I understand that the FOC doesnt play in Apoc games, but I was wondering if you could take units from other armies without adhearing to the restrictions. For example, could a GK army take superheavies without taking an allied IG detachment?

Tried to find this in the forum list and could not, sorry if this has been asked before.

I think you can just take whatever you want in apocalypse (even tyranid allies)

As an Imperial guard army I could take the Khorne Skull Lord, 2 Riptides and a Dark Eldar jetbike squad in Apocalypse.

Everything is permitted.

Alone in the warp.

This is spot on. you can have any model in your army for apocalypse.

But you have to follow the restriction in the BRB for allies for things such as when an IC can join a unit, use of transport vehicles and psychic powers.

In other word you cant have a Stormlord filled will hormagaunts led by Gazgul, but they can exist independently in the same army.

They tightened it up a bit from last apoc edition where "anything goes". You can still take anything you want, but you are forced to have them interact on the table top as per the allies rules in the BRB. Those alliance that are "come the apocalypse"(red on the allies chart) are treated as "desperate allies" for in game purposes during apoc.

Christ, where do you buy your turnips?
