So I came up with my first 25 points list for the Steamroller coming up later in the month, This is the tentative list of what I plan to bring so far, so subject to possible change once I get more models I think would work better for what I have in mind for both list (Currently thinking up one with pSeverius, so I only have pKreoss up right now). The only restriction that I remember is that no characters can be used in the same two list.

Looks OK, though If you can get one I'd really recommend changing out the Crusader with an 8pt gun jack like a Reckoner or Vanquisher, probably by taking out the Paladin.

pSeverius is a pretty easy caster to jump to next, though there are a few casters that would work well enough here. Perhaps if you take a second list, think about an anti-armor list in case you have to take on a Colossal (eFeora or Reznik with a couple of heavies might be the best go for that).

Alright, I can switch out the Crusader and Paladin for the Reckoner (for seeing how much damage it can do when I first used it, why did I not think of it at first? ) Also, I do not have another Caster except pSeverius to really use, although that might change when I get my next paycheck, eFeora seems to be what i might be getting next with part of said paycheck, but for now, I might make one based around pSeverius for the mean time.

Alright, so I made up another list (for now) for the tourney using pSeverius. Kind of went Jack heavy with this one

Looks interesting, but with no speed buffs on sev, you might have a problem with getting alpha struck to death without a screen. If you have some TFG you could take out the repenter and a vassal to get a max unit of them for 6pts. You could then also drop the choir to min to get a point for wracks if you wanted (or upgrade the Revenger to Blessings of Vengance, but I understand you probably don't have that yet).

That would still give you two hard hitting heavies, especially under eye of menoth, and the revenger arcing spells and some TFG for infantry clearing.

On the first list, it really looks like it could benefit from the Covenant and Piper for the no KD Tough.. It's a 4 point investment though, and that could be tough to squeeze in while changing the Crusader to a Reckoner. I'd drop the Paladin for that change either way though.

On the second, it just looks too jack heavy for Sevvy to do well. He's a bit of a squish, and you really want him to be able to camp some focus. Changing out the non Reckoner jacks for Avatar and units if you have them can help with some of that. Maybe something like:

The Vassal is necessary in lists with a Reckoner or really any list with a jack with a gun to get it to it's full potential so I'd never recommend shifting it out, but you could also replace the TFG with a unit of Errants if you so choose, you just wouldn't have the UA, which like the Vassal I find necessary. Your original second list might be something to try with eFeora though, replacing the Revenger with a Redeemer of course.

If I do that Covenant/ Rupert combo, I just might keep it a Crusader and drop the Paladin as well. Might get the Covenant with some Bastions depending how my paycheck is. Rhupert I am going to try and get from a trade with a few other Menoth things.

As for the Second list, I am kind of not willing to just put down a lot of money for the Avatar until I have a decent amount of other units and that before hand, so I might go with Maddermax's idea...well until I get eFeora that is.

Can't blame you for not wanting to drop the money on a Character jack at the moment, but it is something to pick up in the not too distant future. It takes the focus load off your caster by generating it's own, and it's a pretty hard hitting jack with that P+S 19 at Mat 8 base on the sword. It's one of those things that after you have your basic "good" jacks (Reckoner, Vanquisher, Redeemer) out of the way, it's worth dropping the cash on.

eFeora I'd definitely pick up as soon as you can though, she's a fairly cheap money wise, and runs jacks well. When I picked Menoth back up after a year and a half hiatus she was the first caster beyond Kreoss I picked up and she's one of the most fun.

I think getting eFeora might be the next thing, along with some other units and solos for Menoth. Might take her Warjack bond with the redeemer since I do not have the Judicator (and I have other things to get before hand, even the Avatar). Although if I was going to get a character jack, it might be Blessing or the Avatar. Also, although she is mostly a jack caster, what Flameguard units would go good with efeora? I already have a full unit of TFG with UA.

Honestly, your TFG are the best match for her - they can spread fire, and have good base defensive stats that can screen her jacks. Daughters can work as well, but she doesn't do anything for them, except the fearless thing (which is useful as I've had daughters run away a few times).

I wouldn't generally recommend Cleansers, as they aren't necessary for her and are a bit meh (die too easily, fail to hit too often), but a minimum unit can be useful for their "incinerate" order, creating a damaging cloud that Feora can hide behind or in. I'd put them as a low priority for purchasing though.

Well, I guess that is good to know about the Cleansers, since I was looking to getting some ranged Menoth units later on and Cleansers seemed cool, and Delievers seems to go best with pKreoss and Idrians are kind of expensive for what they do unless you can get them in terrain. MIght as well buy other Melee units first. Maybe a Temple FlameGuard with UA for eFeoras tier list.

With a few exceptions like eKreoss, I've found the Menoth tier lists to be pretty lacking. Beyond just not letting you take the Mercs (which Menoth loves a couple of the solos, plus Aiyanna and Holt), they require some sub par purchasing, or are just out of the caster's general playstyle. Like eFeora for example, you have to run 5 units for her tier, at a minimum of 22 points, and you're going to want another unit in the Choir. You don't get Vassals, which is a big loss to Feora's favorite jacks, and you don't get thinks like Piper and the Book to make all those units things like no KD, or Tough (or for one unit, both). It's just too big a trade for a free UA, +2" deployment, and +2 SPD for flameguard for one turn.

Yeah, that is kind of a good point. At least we are not on the level of Amon's theme list bad it seems with her theme list...

Could think about dropping out the Repenter maybe...

Do you have Wracks? If so I would drop the Choir to min and include them. That's about all I could suggest for that list. It seems to really want a Vassal for the Reckoner, but the only way to get the points would screw with your other choices.

No, sadly I do not have Wracks yet, which saddens me. :( Still trying to get the other important stuff for my army...
