Firstly, sorry for all the questions, I feel such a noob . Ok, so I just got my first airbrush setup up and running. Two things have occurred that worry me. I have a tank and compressor setup, for the first 10 minutes it seemed that the tank would fill then the compressor would click off, drain tank, and repeat. Ive adjusted the pressure to 20 (im not sure if that's relevant ) and now the compressor keeps running (doesn't fill the tank ). After around 30m it felt like i could cook eggs on it (compressor). Secondly, air is leaking from the airbrush side of the quick release coupling, could this be the/a issue, I now realize i need some ptfe tape. I plan to pick some up tomorrow. Is this part of the same problem Thanks for any help.

Yes.

My compressor is always very hot, I have to let it cool down for a few mins after use before I can pick it up. Your's could be the same.

I don't use a quick release on mine, the hose screws directly onto the airbrush. I don't think I'd be happy getting a new airbrush then having to seal it with tape straight away. Can you remove the quick release on yours and skip it? see if the leak still occurs?

Agree that it is likely the missing tape. Just wanted to point out that some compressors have a toggle switch for continuous run or an auto shut off option. Sometimes there is no clear markings on the switch so if you have this option make sure you have it on autorun.
