Not wanting to cheat at my next tournament I have this question. If a Land Raider moves flat out can it still shoot a single weapon at full BS with Power of the Machine Spirit? Machine Spirit says one more weapon then normally allowed. Since no weapon is allowed if you move the extra 6'' can you still shoot? Similarly if I move 12'' can I fire a Redeemers flame cannon? If you move 12'' you can only snap, template weapons cant snap, so is it legal?

Thanks

RAW:
Some weapon types, such as Template and Ordnance, or those that have certain special rules, such as Blast, cannot be fired as Snap Shots.
page 13 BRB.

[i]A vehicle can elect to move Flat Out instead of firing in the Shooting phase...[i]
page 72 BRB

Synthesis:
No to both questions. Moving Flat Out doesn't reduce the number of attacks available to 0, but rather it trades the ability to shoot at all for the ability to move further, thus negating the beneficial effects of PotMS. Template weapons can't be fired as Snap Shots ever. Both of these answers are assuming that no errata has been released to supercede the BRB.

I'm 100% that you CAN fire the flamestorm moving 12" using POTMS, so that's wrong.

And I believe you can't if you move flat out as you may not fire at all.

Note to the reader: my username is not arrogance. No, my name is taken from the most excellent of commanders: Lord Castellan Creed, of the Imperial Guar- I mean Astra Militarum - who has a special rule known only as "Tactical Genius"... Although nowhere near as awesome as before, it now allows some cool stuff for the Guar- Astra Militarum - player. FEAR ME AND MY TWO WARLORD TRAITS.

This. Flat Out is done instead of firing, so if you move flat out, you can't shoot your weapon, PotMS or not. However, if moving at cruising speed, you may shoot a flamestorm cannon via PotMS. You can't fire the other one, but since the one isn't a snap shot anymore, it's ok.

@MikeFox: Read the ENTIRE PotMS in the BRB (NOT in your codex) to answer your original question.

Your codex's FAQ has an entry telling you to refer to the BRB for this rule; again, the codex's PotMS is out of date and overwritten.
