I have the 24 inch tall Neca Balrog and I want to get some use out of it.....
Lore behind insane idea
The God Emperor finally kicks the bucket and the Chaos Gods squirm for the chance to spread their evils across the galaxy and beyond.
Khorne pushes the other gods aside and is the first to appear in person, taking form on the largest battle at the time.
Keep in mind this isn't really an avatar like Khaine's avatars due to Khaine's avatars being legion. Khorne only has this one avatar so it's going to be a lot more powerful. This is Khorne forming a physical body in the materium to control while he is still in the Warp. The majority of his power is still in his Daemons, DPs, and champions however.
Welp, here's the rules....God help me
Avatar of Khorne 8888 points
[WS][BS][S.][,T.][W.][.I..][.A.][LD]SV
[.10.][10.][D][10][40.][10][15][10]2+/3++ Invul
Wargear: Axe of the milky way's blood, Bronze armor of the War God
Special rules: Terror, IWND, Fearless, Fleet, Furious Charge, Daemonic instability
Unit Type: Gargantuan Creature
Unit Composition: 1 Avatar of Khorne
Special Rules
-Ultimate General: 4 units of your choice do not scatter when deep striked if deep striked within 12 inches of Khorne. All Khornate units have ATSKNF and reroll failed leadership tests.
-Warp God: Rolls in which Khorne lashes out at Slaaneshi wimps result in all Slaanesh units in your army being removed as casualties. If you have no Slaanesh units in your army remove 500 points of infantry models instead. Khorne's IWND is a 4+ & he may heal any number of wounds until he fails his IWND.
-Violence Incarnate: Friendly Units that have line of sight with Khorne will take a leadership test on 2D6. If they pass nothing happens. If they fail they attack themselves in melee combat!!! When Khorne multiassaults he uses his full number of attacks against all units he's assaulting. For example, If he attacks 3 units he makes 15 attacks against all 3 units for 45 attacks total.
-True Immortality: If Khorne dies he is simply sent back to warp with a chunk of his power gone. What of his followers? They see battle incarnate fall in battle.....their terror is unspeakable at seeing their invincible god bleed. You lose if Khorne dies. Khorne takes D3 wounds against S: D attacks. Khorne may take his 3++ invul against S: D attacks and attempts to save each wound separately.
-Blood God: Khorne cares only slightly for whose blood is spilt, whether it be an enemy or a champion who honors his name. There shall be blood. If Khorne hasn't attacked any enemy units this turn, one unit of your choice in your army is sacrificed to Khorne.
-Spread of War: Khorne is taller than a warlord titan and he is incredibly quick for his large size. Khorne moves 36 inches on a charge. He moves with such furious speed that he counts as a flyer after he has charged for purposes of scoring hits.
-Fueled by War: Whenever Khorne slaughters an entire unit, or kills an independent character he regains D3 wound.
Wargear
-Axe of the Milky Way's Blood: This gigantic axe is forged of raw power, the souls of trillions, and a piece of Khorne's power. It inspires war whenever it is lifted. Enemy units that have line of sight with this ungodly weapon must pass a leadership test on 2D6 or attacks made by that unit have Gets Hot! and attacks that fail to hit are inflicted as strikes against the unit. This may be too much, tell me if so
-Bronze Armor of the War God: This armor cannot be broken by effects like the Vindicares shield breaker. It grants Khorne a 2+ armor and a 3+ invul.
This is blatantly absurd and would require a 20000 point Apoc game
I'm tired of all the cardboard imperator titans at my local gamestore and I'm striking back.
Like everything else in 40k it comes down to cost and if it's costed correctly I don't know anyone who wouldn't play against it.
Edit: Apparently this is actually pretty underpowered. Edits for the Blood God!!!! Added spread of war, a multiassault rule in violence incarnate, some more survivability in true immortality
Edit 2: Upped wounds to 40, gave him a 36 inch charge to cross the distance on massive Apoc tables, gave him a super duper special IWND, and added rules for his gear. It may be just enough. I'll see given feedback.
Notes: He has 40 wounds and always takes D3 wounds from S: D wounds regardless what they rolled on the new boschitt table and can attempt to save all of them with his 3++ invul. Whenever he has charged he also gains I can change the invul save to a 4+.
Notes: The axe of the milky ways blood's special ability only applies to melee.
Notes: He seems very durable because if he falls, you lose. His durability needs to account for that somewhat. There's going to be a good 50 S: D hits flying his way every turn & Apoc table will be 10 feet long at least. He has a lot of ground to cover to say the least. He would be suicidally horrible if he wasn't multiple times more durable than an Imperator.
Notes: The first few turns he's going to personally wipe out at least 1500 points of your army, from personally killing it to it being sacrificed to him.
Notes: Khorne regains D3 wounds every time he kills a unit.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." |

Completely useless, unfortunately, because he will NEVER reach CC in the short apoc timeframe.

He will get D-weaponed down in 1 turn if this is a 20k point game, even if he draws a lot of fire he is nearly half your points.
For a self-admittedly ridiculous idea he is hilariously underpowered.
He needs to be more mobile, make him a FMC so he can wreak the carnage his point cost demands while giving him extra survivability.
Also, what are that milky way axe and the armor?

I haven't gotten any feedback on the massively revised rules. It was massively underpowered before.

I like these changes. However, I think the str D nerf and 45 wound is too much, can one of them and I think this guy is good to go.

That's simply a servant made from a piece of his power. Not even resembling him in appearance.
The only greater daemon that's actually an avatar is a Great Unclean One which is a massively weak avatar of Nurgle.
From Lexicanum:
Great Unclean Ones are unlike the Great Daemons of other Powers, in that where the latter are essentially just immensely powerful servants, the Great Unclean Ones are each facsimiles of Nurgle himself, both physically and in terms of their personality. In other words, every Great Unclean One is also Nurgle. Thus followers often refer to these daemons as "Nurgle" or "Father Nurgle".
Learn your lore.

Once again Lexicanum is not a source but I have witnessed that quote already in its proper place. However a bloodthirster is also made in khornes likeness. Just not exactly the same. I will edit this post when I find the quote.

Of Note:
There is a very obvious problem with a godly (in this case the GOD) close combat character in Apoc. The problem is the unit either gets shot down mid field (and you lose half your points) or it gets into combat and your opponent might as well put that gun up his mouth.
This is magnified when dealing with the GOD of close combat.
Project shelved.
