Nurgle Predator Driver with an Infestation

Hey, i've got a 1k game coming up in a few weeks and I need some help setting up a general list, not sure what i'm gonna be facing but I want to making a mix of fun and competitive, but not so competitive that I need to win no matter what, I want some fun playing. Once that game is down, i'm gonna be hitting some 1500 point games. This is the list of what I have at the moment.
Thrakka (but generally will be used as a warboss with mega armour and attack squiq)
Warboss with attack squig
Big Mek w/ KFF
Big Mek w/ SAG
Around 35 slugga boys
Around 30 shoota boys (around 3 of those are heavy weapons and 2 nobs)
3 meganobs
20 gretchin + 2 runtherds
10 nobs
1 painboy
2 trukks
Dakkajet
Deff dread
3 bikers
Hopefully soon will be getting 2 zzapp cannons
4 lootas + mek (i will most probably invest in a few more soon)
So any ideas using this list will be greatly received!

not sure of the points but its a pretty basic 1k list use gorts to claim home objectives and throw everything else forward if you have the points give the nobs cybork bodies and tank wounds on them at the front of the horde... tbh orks currently are difficult to get the best out of

hmmm i would invest in about 2-4 more boxs of lootas. lootas are great in ork armys.
try and do like a squad of 10 and one of 5.

Yeah i really need to get more lootas in, their sheer potential firepower is insane, but also 3 dakkajets on a waaagh can produce so much firepower (54 shots, rerollable!) so i've been tossing up between the pros and cons of buffing out either unit.
Yeah I know, I was kinda thinking maybe keeping my KFF close to them and/or keeping them near cover and do my best to run them up the board, or maybe swap the nobs out for some lootas and keep them in the backfield whist the rest of the greenskins march forward.

yeah i would build a list around sayt 15-30 lootas and 2-3 dakkajets
and if you cant find anything to do for your nobs a nice trick is you only have to have 1 nob in the 6" kff range for your whole squad to get the 5+ but if that one dies you loss the KFF on the squad
so if you do it right you can get 5 mobs of 30boyz in 1 KFF without being to squished

You could go for mega nobs and mega armour boss in 1 trukk and nobs with kff big mek in the other trukk. The Dred can take a flank with grots to capture objectives and the lootas for support.

also the fighta ace depends on your community really. if you are just playing for fun with your friends its only needed if they bring like DE armys with lots of skimmers
kinda cheesy but eh we orks we take what we can get!
if you were going to a GT i would suggest the fighta ace^.^

exactly ^^ at turnis i am straying away from using my orks just for awhile and since marines are next imma be using my salys. an if the rumors are true the new codex will be good.
but i still love meh boyz and will alwyas play them when i get the chance!

i saw that you have 1 boy with a rokkit, usualyl if your going ofr the rokkits you want to take 2-3 with rokkits to make up for orks bad aim, i can't recall off the top of my head what the grot prod does vs his standard one, but maybe drop one of those 2 take a 2nd rokkit with the group to give you better odds vs armour?

no just no rokkits! why take them when you wont be chargin vehicles?? ur lootas are for anti-tank!

It gives him poisoned attacks, so wounding on a 4+, just incase the meat shield survives and he actually faces combat. Yeah im still not sure about rockets, thought might bring him along just incase but will probably swap him out for a big shoota

First and formost you are playing 4th Edition Orks with 6th edition rules. You are not going to be competitive.
Things to always take: Bikes, Battlewagons, Lootas, Big Gunz (Kannons)
HQ best bet is the Warboss PK, Attack Squig - give Cybork to
In order to take Thraka or a Waboss Megaarmor, I would take a full compliment of Meganobs in a Battlewagon.
KFF only has 3 vehicles to protect and 2 are Trukks, the 33% save isn't going to save them.
The SAG is no longer build for competition - it will do more damage than good. But if you need a second HQ this is the rout I would go. I always have fun with the SAG on the board.
You don't have enough boyz to Green Tide and the Slugga Boyz will probably never see melee.
Nob boss with a PK always sounds awesome but you will find that it is not very useful, the only thing a Nob will provide is an extra wound. I would take them as a full compliment
3 meganobs this is the min for the unit, even with Thraka or Warboss, every loss is an LD check and since you don't have another target for you opponent to shoot at, this unit will probably provide first blood every game for your opponent.
20 gretchin + 2 runtherds hmmm they are grots and they are easily dug through. But you could surprise your opponent, by Making your Painboy Mad Doc. Attach him to the Gretchin unit, turning them Fearless with FNP and they have to kill every single gretchin to remove the unit. though you would need another pack of 10 + a runtherd to make this work in your favor.
10 nobs, you could attach the Nob unit to the SAG, this will give more ammo runts (4 seems to be the sweet spot for me). Also if you teleport you could actually do something against them. I would give the Big Mek a Burna as a Melee weapon, instead of a PK.
Dakkajet - never good to take just one. But if you have a lot of points, it's something that will draw fire if you can bring it in on reserve quick enough.
Deff dread - I have a soft spot for the def dread, when ever I take a Big Mek I always try to fit this one in, he's scary enough to draw fire, but tends to not last as long as I would like. Spending 50 points for the KFF for one vehicle never seems worth it.
3 bikers - This I would say is a must, but not 3, you need to bring a bunch and Gutsmek or a Warboss Biker making them Nob Bikers is always nice to have. This would be way too small to field and make useful.
ZZapp Gunz only look better, the basic Big Gunz Kannon can Krak or Shell and will do more damage than the Zzap will.
lootas are one of the best units in the codex but 4 are certainly not enough, at least 10 to start.

Thanks for the in depth review! I've been pretty iffy on the bikers, but after a lot of forum lurking I can see they are very popular in ork lists, I might invest but most importantly right now, i'm gonna invest in more loots.
With the KFF i'm generally thinking of running it with either the deff dread or near the slugga boys.
Yeah I guessed, but I just love the SAG, but what i'd plan is keep him near the edge of the table and use his insane range to try and pick off targets popping an ammo runt on him.
With the boys, I know I don't have a huge amount, but with them, gretchin and the nobs, fielding around 90+ bodies should be enough to overwhelm a majority of armies.
I've never thought about attaching Mad Doc to a gretchin unit, that's quite interesting I might have to try that out, but using Mad Doc would take up a HQ slot, leaving my to choose between either a warboss or Big Mek w/KFF :/ My KFF mek has a burner just incase he makes it close enough to fry some enemies.
I will invest in more bikers eventually, but focusing on other aspects before I try them out properly.
True, but I just love lascannons, and with an Ork equivalent which can cause an auto crew shaken result if hits IIRC.
Yeah that's what i'm thinking with the Dakkajet, although they are quite fragile, cracking out 9 rerollable shots which can cause pinning, it can make its points cost worth it.
Yeah without a doubt I need to get so many more loots, and I will invest in a battlewagon or two down the line.

Damn, I'd never thought about that auto-crew shaken result for the Zapp Guns. You can stun-lock a tank with these bad boyz making it nearly useless as it cannot fire whatever pie plate weapon it invariably has attached.

Exactly and with a battery of 3 cannons, rolling S10 or over will only lose one grot for the whole battery, so take some extra crew and you can hammer away at those tanks!
