How can it be that the ads on this website advertise this exact recaster the user was told not to talk about?

I know that most of the time you dont have influence on what is in such banner ads ... nevertheless it leaves a bad taste.

I'm not sure that I see any banners for that particular website available currently.

Dakka doesn't have any banner advertisements by sponsors that are recasters. It does have google ads, which occasionally show up in the banner as well as in one or two other spots on the website. These ads are targeted to your search history, so if you googled, "FW recasts" or "Cheap GW models" you might start seeing targeted ads for recasters. This isn't Dakka endorsing recasters, this is just Google doing the Big Brother is Watching thing.

I didnt even google that. Had my first forgeworld order this week so maybe its enough to look for real forgeworld stuff.

A while ago I kept on getting adds for semen tanks.

Turns out they are a legit thing and probably were a result of somebody googling agricultural stuff.

The google ads are out of our control and it is down to google and GW if there are recasters advertising there. We only accept paid adverts from good, ethical companies who have the community in mind and you can see a full list by clicking the 'view all ads' link at the top of any page.
